Struggling With Flesh? Position Yourself In God’s Grace
I struggle so much with my flesh, I am constantly fleshing out things that grip my soul like doubt, assumptions, discontentment and self-righteousness. These things of my human condition, trip me up as I lean into characteristics of the flesh, instead of depending on God, trusting God fully. There are areas of my soul that are not completely God’s, yet He keeps on loving me. I can’t fathom why. Especially when I have been complaining, doubting and not trusting in His plan, not enduring with faith and contented gratefulness.
Because we belong to the day, we must live decent lives for all to see. Don’t participate in the darkness of wild parties and drunkenness, or in sexual promiscuity and immoral living, or in quarreling and jealousy. 14 Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires. Romans 13:13-14 New Living Translation
Have You Bowed Today? Position Yourself In God’s Grace
It is a mystery to me why He has not given up on me, but continues to love me and press me forward, helping me by His spirit to learn and grow through. If it were me, I would have given up on me learning the hard lessons a long time ago. My heart bows and tears fall because His Grace does amaze me and causes my soul to want to flesh out all the things that my human condition falters in and put on Christ’s character.
God has now revealed to us his mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill his own good pleasure. And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan. Need A Soul Cleanse? Position Yourself In God’s Grace
He is the healer of my soul and He faithfully tends the garden of my spirit, pulling out the weeds by their roots and seeding it with His Word. This amazing AWE-GOD, He sticks with me time after time, gently convicting me, pointing me in the right direction. I can’t fathom a love such as this, a mercy that is extended time after time, a place offered in the position of His Grace, unconditionally. Lord Jesus, I can’t fathom how You love such a wishy-washy sinner like me, who can’t finish my day in purity, who fails and flails in my human condition daily.
Three times I called upon the Lord and besought Him about this and begged that it might depart from me; But He said to me, My grace, My favor and loving-kindness and mercy, is enough for you, sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully; for My strength and power are made perfect, fulfilled and completed and show themselves most effective in your weakness. Need A Reverence Revival? Position Yourself In God’s Grace
Jesus, Your Grace it does amaze me, it does humble me and I bow my heart before You in reverence and respect, asking You to develop and increase my Awe of You. I can never repay you for how You have loved me. No one has loved me or accepted me like You do. All I can do is offer you my praise and gratefulness for your faithfulness to me and for continuing to offer me a merciful love that I don’t deserve. Yes, Lord God, Your Grace Amazes Me.
