Ramble 1

The Way To Speak More Significantly with less of me, my thoughts, my ways and more of God’s thoughts, ways and truths is to listen more extensively to Him. So I have agreed to a “Great God Adventure” a ramble through The Voice Bible with the Holy Spirit. I have this feeling, gut feeling that He is going to “grow me through” as I listen to His Voice along the pathway of His Truth. I am not sure how long it will take me, so it won’t be one of those typical walk through the Bible with an everyday thing that has a perfect calendar ending. That is unlikely. I am just going to follow God when He calls me to ramble with Him, listen to His Holy Spirit, learn from the living Word and write down the thoughts of God to encourage others. So here we go, the adventure begins at the beginning with Genesis and where we go, and how long it takes, only the Holy Spirit knows. Let’s Ramble! Follow The Holy Spirit! Author~KimberlyMac

Follow The Holy Spirit Through Genesis Chapter One

Ready Set Go!

Genesis Chapter One

“Out of nowhere, time, space, and all the living whirl forth as God speaks the universe into existence. With the utterance of His voice, creation takes form, chaos yields to order, light eclipses darkness, and emptiness fills with life. Not long after God creates the first man, Adam, and the first woman, Eve, the story takes a tragic turn when the first couple disobeys the clear instruction from God not to eat the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. As a result, humanity falls from God’s intended perfection. The disastrous consequences of this decisive act are demonstrated in Cain’s murder of Abel, Noah’s flood, and the Tower of Babel.” The Voice Commentary

Genesis 1:1-2
In the beginning, God created everything: the heavens above and the earth below. Here’s what happened: 2 At first the earth lacked shape and was totally empty, and a dark fog draped over the deep while God’s spirit-wind hovered over the surface of the empty waters. Then there was the voice of God.

My Thoughts: “A silence like no other, a silence that had never been broken. It gives me chills when I read: Then… there was the voice of God. I can’t even fathom with my mind this scene of shapelessness, utter quiet, total emptiness. I mean as I look around me and see all this around me, I can’t imagine that, but then again I see it in my spirit, I see it as it is described by the powerful Word of God. I can imagine God’s amazing spirit hovering over the surface, the dark fog… I can imagine it… then God’s voice! That powerful, powerful voice of God, the One that I now hear in my personal relationship with Him, heart to heart, I hear Him, this Voice, the same voice that created the universe, wow… we have come a long way with God and I am so grateful that He pursued us and never gave up on us.” The Miraculous Musings Of KimberlyMac

God: Verses 3-5
Let there be light. And light flashed into being. 4 God saw that the light was beautiful and good, and He separated the light from the darkness. 5 God named the light “day” and the darkness “night.” Evening gave way to morning. That was day one.

My Thoughts: “Interesting that one of the first things God did was create light. Light is beautiful and it feeds our human souls in a way nothing else does. When we have a lot of cloudy, gloomy days, our spirit feels down, but when we get a bright sunny day, we feel energized. I also find it very enlightening that God separated light from darkness, He defined them from the beginning. Light. Dark. And, there was no gray area, we in our human condition created the gray areas, but God has always separated light from dark in that purposeful way of His.” The Miraculous Musings Of KimberlyMac

Verse 7:
So God parted the waters and formed this expanse, separating the waters above from the waters below. It happened just as God said.

My Thoughts: “I love how as I read on through God creating, that it happens, “just as God said”. From the beginning His spoken Word reigned supremely in that powerful, purposeful way. His promises are the same and they will happen in my life just as He said. His Word is true, the truest things ever spoken, they have a purity of righteousness that no other words spoken will ever have. True in thought, motive and deed. Just as He said.” The Miraculous Musings Of KimberlyMac

Verse 10: It happened just as God said. 10 God called the dry land “earth” and the waters congregated below “seas.” And God saw that His new creation was beautiful and good.

My Thoughts: “In the beginning when God created, He was so pleased with His new creation, He knew how beautiful and good it was, it gave Him great joy. I can so imagine that, God overlooking what He had created that day, knowing it was infused with a goodness that could never be stomped out by any created thing. We do live in a fallen world and it seems to get worse day after day, the lawlessness and lack of respect for God and His ways grows stronger. But as much as sin prevails, the goodness of God is still very much intact. God’s goodness is still here, He created it in the beginning and it will stand the tests of time. We live in a fallen world, but it is still good, because God in all His Glory is still here, still present with an enduring goodness, a powerful goodness that stands above the all of our everything and is never shaken. God created and it was an unstoppable goodness that not even our human condition in all its depravity can darken. The glory of God’s goodness still glows on.” The Miraculous Musings Of KimberlyMac

God: Verses 11-13
Earth, sprout green vegetation! Grow all varieties of seed-bearing plants and all sorts of fruit-bearing trees. It happened just as God said. 12 The earth produced vegetation—seed-bearing plants of all varieties and fruit-bearing trees of all sorts. And God saw that His new creation was beautiful and good. 13 Evening gave way to morning. That was day three.

My Thoughts: “This is what I so love about our God. All varieties. His creation was so uniquely designed that there are many diversities, all kinds of shapes and sizes, all kinds of individual distinctively premeditated and purposefully planned variety. God is not boring in the least and I think this is the one thing about His creative abilities that we so take for granted. We have been given much and it is hugely diverse and feeds us in so many ways that open up our human senses to so much of our God and His creative prowess that is unmatched at every level. His creative dexterity is part of what makes God so very exciting and adventurous. Our lives in Him with His kind of creative adroitness will always be a Great God Adventure. As we look back at what He has done, we know we have so much to look forward too.” The Miraculous Musings Of KimberlyMac

Verses 16-19
It happened just as God said. 16 God fashioned the two great lights—the brighter to mark the course of day, the dimmer to mark the course of night—and the Divine needled night with the stars. 17 God set them in heavens’ sky to cast warm light on the earth, 18 to rule over the day and night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that His new creation was beautiful and good. 19 Evening gave way to morning. That was day four.

My Thoughts: “The day, God made really bright, and the night, He needled with stars. I love that. From the very beginning, He did not leave us in any total darkness. He made a way for us to always have light. We have never truly known a pitch black darkness because of our God. He has always kept His light turned on for us. With Him and by His Light, we will never have to stumble in the dark. God made a way for light and dark to be continuously divided. How cool is that. From the beginning our Way-Maker God has kept the lights on, has divided dark from light. Providing us with light at all times has always been the intent of God’s heart. It happened just as God said, it happens every single day faithfully just as God said, evening gives way to morning. Just as God said, faithfully so, from generation to generation. Just as God said.” The Miraculous Musings Of KimberlyMac

Verses 20-22
God: 20 Waters, swarm with fish and sea creatures. Let birds soar high above the earth in the broad expanse of sky. 21 So God created huge sea creatures, all the swarm of life in the waters, and every kind and species of flying birds—each able to reproduce its own kind. And God saw that His new creation was beautiful and good. 22 And God spoke this blessing over them: God: Be fruitful and multiply. Let creatures fill the seas. Let birds reproduce and cover the earth.

My Thoughts: “How amazing is it to see right in front of us how God created the power of reproduction and it is by His incredible creative power that this continues to be. God is the power that spoke reproduction into being and the power that continues this cycle of life from generation to generation. Recently I got to see tiny bird eggs turn into tiny little birds and it was an amazing sight, this reproductive power of God that faithfully, since the beginning, since He spoke it into being, continues to be so, just as God said. Nothing has stopped it, what God spoke into being, nothing over all these generations has stomped out the fruitful multiplying of God’s created creatures, just as He said. This is a good time to stop and praise our AWE-GOD and let the wonder of Him fill our souls. We have just read God’s first blessing, how cool is that?!” The Miraculous Musings Of KimberlyMac

Verse 26
God: 26 Now let Us conceive a new creation—humanity—made in Our image, fashioned according to Our likeness. And let Us grant them authority over all the earth—the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, the domesticated animals and the small creeping creatures on the earth.

My Thoughts: “Right away, I noticed the word US. Humanity was conceived out of the thoughts and intents of The Father God, Jesus, And the Holy Spirit, the Triune God. We were fashioned in “their” image. It is probably good for us to get to know them individually, because we are like “them”. We were fashioned in “their” image. God created us and then gave us authority over everything He created. From the very beginning of our creation design, God was inclusive, selfless and sharing with us. This is very humbling. There was no human history until God conceived us, we were His new creation, His humanity, the beginning of His human race. This is just overwhelming to my soul. God wanted us, humanity, it was a desire of His heart and He conceived us.” The Miraculous Musings Of KimberlyMac

Verses 27-28
So God did just that. He created humanity in His image, created them male and female. 28 Then God blessed them and gave them this directive: “Be fruitful and multiply. Populate the earth. I make you trustees of My estate, so care for My creation and rule over the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, and every creature that roams across the earth.

My Thoughts: “He did not cookie cut us from the same mold, He is a very distinctive creator who creates with individuality. He made us male and female. He created us and then right away instilled purpose. We were never without God purpose and guidance. From the moment humanity was created, we had purpose and God directives. From the first breathe of our humanity being created, God was at the center of our lives, He was our purpose, our director, the all of our everything. Let this change not.” The Miraculous Musings Of KimberlyMac

“The crown of God’s creation is a new creature, a creature that can sound the heartbeat of its Creator. That creature, made male and female, reflects God’s own relational richness. The human family is to join God in the ongoing work of creation. The earth below and the sky above with all their inhabitants are too beautiful and too good to be left alone. They need the tender care and close attention that only God’s favored creature can give.” The Voice Commentary
