Flesh Out

“I pray for us today, that we can “flesh out” all the negative soul emotions brought on by the fallen world we live in and “truth in” the joy of the Lord that will always be found in the Kingdom of God, an overwhelming, soul saturating joy that is our great strength as we live in this world but remain not of it.” KimberlyMac Prayer Mentor

Hebrews 12:12-18 So lift up your hands that are dangling and brace your weakened knees. Make straight paths for your feet so that what is lame in you won’t be put out of joint, but will heal. Pursue peace with everyone, and holiness, since no one will see God without it. Watch carefully that no one falls short of God’s favor, that no well of bitterness springs up to trouble you and throw many others off the path. Watch that no one becomes wicked and vile like Esau, the son of Isaac, who for a single meal sold his invaluable birthright. You know from the stories of the patriarchs that later, when he wished to claim his blessing, he was turned away. He could not reverse his action even though he shed bitter tears over it. The Voice

We live in such a cruel, hostile world at times when people soul saturated with bitterness can do the meanest, most evil influenced things. When you ask yourself: Can it get worse? Yes it can. Don’t put yourself in a place where you underestimate your enemy by fighting the wrong enemy. This is a spiritual battle. There is no level where uncontrolled villainy can determine a stopping point. Evil escalates to the place where even the person under the influence of it, can’t even imagine that they would have gone that far. Most people look back on the outburst of their violence in shock at how far out of hand it got. This is how we underestimate the power of the enemy and this is why the Lord warns us about bitterness, it is an open door of destruction for our soul.

“The Bible is a brutally honest book. It contains stories of liars, murderers, and adulterers; and these are the good guys. If we read the Bible looking only for positive role models, we’ll be quickly disappointed. But if we are honest with ourselves and confess our own faults, we will find in Scripture, particularly in the First Testament, that we have much in common with many broken saints of the past. But we must not stay broken. We must follow their path to transformation through repentance and faith. Repentance means a change of heart, a change of mind, and ultimately a change of how we live. God’s grace comes to us and enables us to turn away from sin and to turn back to Him.” Voice Commentary Hebrews 12

We all fall sometimes and get pretty banged up. When our soul is down and wounded, we can have the strength to get up when we take the powerful hand of God that is so kindly offered to us. Listen to the wisdom in this song “What Faith Can Do By Kutless”

There is no doubt about it that in this fallen world our enemy wants to steal, kill and destroy. Sometimes we fight way to hard and long to prove our innocence when we are falsely accused. We fight with everything we have to substantiate our blamelessness, to vindicate ourselves of the lies, all the false accusations that are twisted up into a deceptive reality. We want to fix it! We feel strongly that we were right and we want to be seen as right. When we take on the role of the Prover, Which is Who the Holy Spirit is, then the battle becomes ours, and it proceeds as a battle of flesh against flesh and this becomes a war of the human condition, as our human dysfunction in action. Times such as these where humanity is showing its full side of foolishness, the enemy sits back and watches with delight because he knows without God, it doesn’t end well for us, but it ends hellishly well for the enemy of our soul.

Isaiah 50:10-11 Who among you fears the Lord? Who obeys his servant? Whoever walks in deep darkness, without light, should trust in the name of the Lord and rely on his God. Look, all of you who start a fire and who equip yourselves with flaming arrows, walk in the light of the fire you started and among the flaming arrows you ignited! This is what you will receive from me: you will lie down in a place of pain. New English Translation

Let go of the way you want to see this battle go, let go of everything and cling to God Who is Your refuge, Your strength. Your God will be faithful forever. Listen Up To The God Wisdom In This Song, “I Lift My Hands By Chris Tomlin”.

Have you ever sat in a heap on the floor in a mess that you fighting your own battle created? Was it such a bad mess that you didn’t even have the energy or the means to clean it up? Have you ever asked this: “Things couldn’t get much worse, could they?” Yes they can! Why? Because human nature influenced by the enemy of our soul, is nasty stuff and without God’s power backing us and going before us, nothing miraculous happens and our personal vices fizzle and fail and we end up more beleaguered instead of being freed. Have you realized yet that you may be fighting the wrong enemy and that is why you are losing? The truth is that the battle is not yours, the battle belongs to God, who is able to win it. You can’t vindicate yourself, only He can. Do you know who you are in Him? Do you know who you have been in Him all the years you have served Him? There have been times that I have tried so hard to prove my innocence, I felt like I was beating the air and it was an exhausting human effort that left me worse than when I started. What a trap it is when we buy into that we can fight our own battle, the truth is, fighting our own battles suffocates our joy and kills our strength in that cruel way that the enemy of our soul loves.

1 Corinthians 9:20-28 The Need for Self-Discipline Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. New International Version

We are not strong in and of our own vices. We need to be disciplined to stay in a wholly-holy aligned relationship with Jesus, this is where we are strong. Listen UP And Glean The God Wisdom From This Song, “Strong Enough By Matthew West”.

We can get so caught up in making a way for our own vindication, we don’t notice the real enemy of our soul is not the person we are battling with, we are totally unaware of the real enemy and that this is not just a battle of flesh. The enemy has a tactic of taking every kind, good and giving thing we do and turning it to a lie, using it as an accusation against us, this is how twisted our enemy is. Don’t underestimate your enemy. I went through this where every kindness I gave in a situation was turned as a lie against me, as an accusation of my wrong doing. It was maddening. My anger fueled the enemies trick and I began to work vehemently harder with inner bitterness firing up my passion to prove I was right. When we get caught up in these traps set by the enemy, we can become so unaware of the enemies tactics and we end up being a very vindictive vindicator, just like the enemy of our soul. Bitterness causes our hearts to lose their way and we end up fearful and broken, not even looking like the person God has shaped and is finishing, instead we reflect the bitter accuser, the one we were really battling with. When you find yourself here at this point, you need to fully face God and “flesh out” and “truth in” and get back to being wholly-holy aligned with God in followship of Him, because in that is your true victory over evil. The enemy of your soul is bitter, he has lost the war with God and he lashes out of that bitterness, wanting us to be just like him with all his cruel hate.

Ephesians 6:10-13 Finally, brothers and sisters, draw your strength and might from God. Put on the full armor of God to protect yourselves from the devil and his evil schemes. We’re not waging war against enemies of flesh and blood alone. No, this fight is against tyrants, against authorities, against supernatural powers and demon princes that slither in the darkness of this world, and against wicked spiritual armies that lurk about in heavenly places. And this is why you need to be head-to-toe in the full armor of God: so you can resist during these evil days and be fully prepared to hold your ground. The Voice

Don’t be a slave to the fear of what people think about you. Know Who you are in God and know He is the vindicator of your reputation.

God is not after the earthly victory, He is after glory for His Kingdom. This battle is not going to look like anything you would or could plan for. God’s strategy has kingdom purposes woven all through it. Yes it is a part of our human nature to want to be vindicated in the eyes of people. I did not want people to think badly of me because of all the lies being slung, twisted, evil lies making crooked places that I could never begin to straighten. I tried and all I did was tie my brain in a knot.

James 4:6-7 You may think that the situation is hopeless, but God gives us more grace when we turn away from our own interests. That’s why Scripture says, God opposes the proud, but He pours out grace on the humble. So submit yourselves to the one true God and fight against the devil and his schemes. If you do, he will run away in failure. Come close to the one true God, and He will draw close to you. Wash your hands; you have dirtied them in sin. Cleanse your heart, because your mind is split down the middle, your love for God on one side and selfish pursuits on the other. The Voice

Flesh us out Lord God, empty us of ourselves. Let there be more of You and less of us. ListenUp To This Song By Colton Dixon, “More Of You” And Make It Your Prayer Today. Flesh Out And Truth In.

We don’t need to be vindicated in the eyes of this world. God has already vindicated us. We don’t need that from anyone else. We don’t need to prove our innocence, Jesus has already bought it by giving His life. Jesus died our death, so that we might live in the purity of His righteousness. No human being can take this from us. We don’t have to prove Who we are. We are loved by God in that incredible way of His, unconditionally so. We don’t have to prove our righteousness. Jesus is our righteousness. Underneath all the mud slung all over us by a fallen world, our heart is the same, it is God’s. There is no mud slung on our reputation and lives that God’s won’t be able to shine through and glow Kingdom glory. God’s love will carry us as we “grow through” all and every unfair persecution.

We are not perfect, we make mistakes, we let God down, yet He loves us the same. We can easily lose our way and we can fall down sometimes, yet as soon as we hit the ground, God is there to lift us up. Listen Up and be encouraged by this song called: “Lift Me Up By The Afters”.

Romans 5:1-5 Now that we have been made right with God by putting our trust in Him, we have peace with Him. It is because of what our Lord Jesus Christ did for us. By putting our trust in God, He has given us His loving-favor and has received us. We are happy for the hope we have of sharing the shining-greatness of God. We are glad for our troubles also. We know that troubles help us learn not to give up. When we have learned not to give up, it shows we have stood the test. When we have stood the test, it gives us hope. Hope never makes us ashamed because the love of God has come into our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who was given to us. New Life Version

I can trust my reputation to God’s vindication. The most difficult thing was knowing what was said, what was done and then to hear the lies it got twisted into, it made me want to prove myself to be right. I know I did this, I know I said that, I know my heart motive was pure, yet they were buying into their false reality so much, that I felt hopeless, to prove the real reality. To me, it looked like nothing of the truth was left standing. My reality against their false reality. But then I realized that God was there in every one of those situations, He was there and in Him the truth stood. God had a record of the truth that no human being could alter. God knows the truth and that has to be enough for us as He unravels all the twisted up lies and makes a straight path out of these crooked, crooked situations we find ourselves in. Let go, let God. Forgive. Release.

Lord Jesus, ease our emotional suffering. Help us to endure and not give up, but cling to You, dig our life roots deeply in Your Kingdom. Listen To The Song: “Blessings By Laura Story” And Be Encouraged.

Isaiah 42: 14-17 I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, And crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, and not forsake them. They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, who trust in carved images, who say to the molded images, ‘You are our gods. New King James Version

Do you feel like you have lost your way during a battle you were trying to fight by yourself? Do you feel like you failed God and others? Do you feel angry about it all? Turn and fully face God and reposition yourself so you are wholly-aligned with Him so you can fight the right way and you can fight the right enemy. Don’t be a flesh warrior, be a prayer warrior found in Jesus. Anchor yourself now to Jesus, His way, His truth, His life.

The cross is the continual hope for us, it anchors our soul in the truth that our God stands unshakeable. Even death could not defeat our God. Pray Through This Song, “Anchor By Hillsong” And Let Your Spirit Be Anchored To God’s Spirit.

Hebrews 6:18-19 God gave these two things that cannot be changed and God cannot lie. We who have turned to Him can have great comfort knowing that He will do what He has promised. This hope is a safe anchor for our souls. It will never move. This hope goes into the Holiest Place of All behind the curtain of heaven. New Life Version
