Christmas Confidence

Lean Into Christmas Confidence

Christmas really changed up a word that all of us lean into from time to time. I was reminded of that today when I read a prayer on facebook written by Donnis Steele:

“He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber”‭ ‭ Psalm121:3

“Father God, You are the Maker of heaven and earth. You are the mightiest of almighties, the wisest of the wise, the most loving of lovers, the most benevolent, powerful Being in all creation. You never get overextended because Your unlimited resources can’t get overcommitted. You walk with us along each road of life, and You watch over our coming and going both now and forevermore. We confidently start our day knowing nothing is impossible for us because You are with us. Our help comes from You, our Savior and Lord. Amen!” Written By Donnis Steele

Jesus Came To Us

We can confidently live, love and have our being on this earth, because of Christmas, because God chose to let go, sacrifice and sent His Son to come to us. This changed up the word “confidence” forever. Will I ever get over this? Will there ever be a time I don’t stand in Awe of Christmas? No. In this Christmas Season, I pursue Jesus and hope to “Catch the Joy and Gift the Joy”. Jesus’ coming to us, this will forever affect my Awe of God, that He sent His son, HERE, to us. This incredible truth, this testimony of such an amazing act of love, it trumps my compassion fatigue and reignites it with JOY. Jesus came to us, He came here to us.

What Is Confidence?

Confidence: the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something; it is a firm trust. Confidence was pretty dim before the coming of Jesus to our world. There was no future hope for humanity. Confidence was put in rulers and kings, only to be dashed by the dastard human condition that would wickedly rise up and disrupt everything. Rulers knew no power higher than self, therefore, with hearts that were desperately wicked, bad things happened to good people. Lawlessness prevailed and human beings showed the worst side of their nature. Hopelessness prevailed, and compassion fatigue was the result. There was no confidence in a good future, just fear, dread and hopelessness. A Savior was so needed. People needed to make room in their lives, in their understanding, for their Savior, Who was coming to them, not in the way they expected would soon champion their confidence.

Absolute Confident Belief

Confidence: the state of feeling certain about the truth of something. I absolutely believe in the truth and hope of this and it inspires my confidence in the Father God’s Good Will toward us and this produces in me a confident trust in Him. Listen Up to the foundation of this confidence:

The people who had been living in darkness have seen a great light. The light of life has shined on those who dwelt in the shadowy darkness of death. And You, God, will make it happen. You bolstered the nation, making it great again. You have saturated it with joy. Everyone in it is full of delight in Your presence, like the joy they experience at the harvest, like the thrill of dividing up the spoils of war. For as You did back in the day when Midian oppressed us, You will shatter the yoke that burdens them, You will lift the load that weighs them down, You will break the rod of their oppressor. It’s true. All the fabric of war will go up in flames: the troops’ heavy boots that stamped us down and their blood-soaked garb will all be burned beyond recognition or use. There will be a new time, a fresh start. Hope of all hopes, dream of our dreams, a child is born, sweet-breathed; a son is given to us: a living gift. And even now, with tiny features and dewy hair, He is great. The power of leadership, and the weight of authority, will rest on His shoulders. His name? His name we’ll know in many ways— He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Dear Father everlasting, ever-present never-failing, Master of Wholeness, Prince of Peace. His leadership will bring such prosperity as you’ve never seen before— sustainable peace for all time. This child: God’s promise to David—a throne forever, among us, to restore sound leadership that cannot be perverted or shaken. He will ensure justice without fail and absolute equity. Always. The intense passion of the Eternal, Commander of heavenly armies, will carry this to completion. Isaiah 9 The Voice

Environment Of Meekness

Jesus, the King of Heaven, came to us in such an incredible way, as a baby born of a virgin, miraculously so. Jesus was rejected before His birth with the stank of humanity, which had no room for Him in their Inns of life. He ended up being born in a stable, how incredibly purposeful. He was born into the environment of meekness, this powerful King of Heaven, Who came to us as a tiny, vulnerable baby. It was this very humbleness, the laying down of supremacy that belonged to Him, that would become the strength which powerfully ripped off the chains of death on all humanity. This Savior, came to us, He chose us. In His incarnate state, God, in the flesh, experienced humanity from birth to death and strengthened the bond of compassionate empathy between God and mankind. Confidence doesn’t operate well if trust is not undergirded by an empathetic agreement.

The Empathy Factor

The empathy factor in the Christmas story emboldens our confidence in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. God knows everything we feel, everything we live with, every human emotion and that makes His empathy a veracity that no human being can turn to and not completely believe and trust. Jesus understands us because He came to us, walked in our flesh, lived our kind of pain, experienced our emotions and died at the hands of human dysfunction. He knows us, more than we could ever hope for or imagine and this encourages a consistent confidence in Him.

Confidence Did Not Survive

Confidence is not something that has survived the human condition of the last few years. Confidence in people and the human nature is at an all time low in our society. This lack of confidence affects many things, especially our joy and our compassion. These are two things our Savior, Jesus came to ignite that first Christmas morning through the extraordinary miraculous power of meekness. Today, in our lawless society, we human beings are metered low on the joy and compassion and weigh in wanting. There is an amazing compassion fatigue growing on, because our confidence has been placed in one another as we bow to the idols of our own making, and this has battered and bruised our confidence in anything, especially so, in the state of lawlessness we find ourselves living and growing through. We need a revival of the truth of our Christmas Savior. We need to get back to the basics of Christmas, to humility, meekness, light and truth.

Pursue God ~ Catch The Joy

Today I say to You, to pursue a new way of living. Pursue God first. Stop putting your hope and expectation in human beings. God is currently on the move in our country, He is disrupting the status quo of our idol worship. Idols are falling as God has allowed the unsecreting of many hidden sins, as He is on a Reveal Truth revival in our nations. Miraculously so, the blinders of false narrative are coming off and ensuing created fake reality is being crushed by the truth. The platforms of Hollywood Entertainment, Sports, News, Politics and Government are all being shaken as the Light of God reveals the truth that when we put people up on a pedestal, they will fall off. All human beings will fall short of the glory of God, all idols fall and smash to the ground at the feet of Jesus.

Where Is Your Confidence Meter?

Jesus came to us to change up our confidence meter, miraculously so. The birth of Jesus Christ, Our Savior was the greatest change up, the most significant change this world would ever know. The heart of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is change. So today, I encourage you to change it up, and put Your Confidence in Christ Jesus, Him and only Him. Pursue God with all your heart and you will “Catch The Joy” of Christmas once again.

Identity In Jesus~Confidence High

There is no greater place to put our confidence than in Jesus Christ. Everything surrendered to Jesus is reciprocal in His purposeful sowing and reaping kingdom principle. There is no doubt about it, when you sow confidence in Jesus, you reap joy, unspeakable joy. This confidence, placed in God, will never return void. It comes with a peace that surpasses all understanding, it comes with a strength which is undergirded with hope in a future which mankind cannot mess up. We have a future and hope in Jesus and nothing and no one can change it, and no human being can disrupt it. How is that for a confidence booster? Put your identity wholly-holy in Jesus and know the joy of Christmas Confidence.

The Chronicles Of Narnia – Voyage Of The Dawn Treader Movie The Prince Said This: “I can’t give up on what My Father died for. I have spent too long wanting what was taken from me and not what was given. I was given a Kingdom – People. I promise to be a better King!” Narnia Movie Clip

We Have A Future

We can be confident that there is a place for us and exactly who we are in Christ, our identity placed wholly-holy in Him is enough. The passion for confidence comes as we set aside our worldly viewpoints and we pray it up to God, asking Him for a Kingdom Perspective to live our lives out of. We are way too earthly minded, we allow the situations here on earth to rob us of our perspective of our Kingdom, where we do belong. There is a place for us, and in this hope, we can position our confidence and know a reliable trust that nothing in this world can surpass.

Undisturbed ~ Uninterrupted Trust

Jesus came to us. He instilled in this world a new confidence, a hope and a trust that would never be able to be corrupted by this world. Our Christmas today is all about confidence, a confidence in Jesus that enlightens the darkness of our compassion fatigued world with hope sustained by the power and strength of Almighty God. We can confidently put our hope in Jesus, He changed up the human condition forever. He came to us and then He left us His Holy Spirit, the resurrected power of Jesus Christ, lives in us. In this birth of our Savior, in His life, in His death and resurrection, confidence was rebirthed and a durable joy resulted. So this Christmas I encourage you to exchange your worldly viewpoint for a Christmas Kingdom perspective and “Catch The JOY” of Christmas. Jesus, Others, You. Catch the Joy of Jesus and Gift the Joy of His life as your confidence in Jesus and His Kingdom is a testimony that points to a Christmas Savior, that others might know their future and hope and “Catch The Joy”.
