Weariness

Early in the morning, Jesus got up, left the house while it was still dark outside, and went to a deserted place to pray. Mark 1:35-38 The Voice

Where Is Your Focus?

The battle in my life has been unusually extreme these past few weeks, and it has been on all sides, physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. I feel weary. I found myself looking more at all the stupid things the enemy was throwing in my face, than the promises of God. God showed me that I needed a holy alignment with His Word. He showed me that I do need to glimpse at the enemy, because I don’t need to pretend he is not there messing with me in the stupid divisive way of his, conjuring up all kinds of pitfalls for me to stumble in. Yes I do need to glimpse his way, but then I need to make a 90 degree turn and fully face my God and acknowledge that the God of Angel Armies, He is with me and He is 100 percent for me as my Advocate. As I stay away from fully focusing on all the stuff the enemy is putting into play in my life and I keep the eyes of my soul gazing at God and His purposes that are in play, I will hear His Voice more and He will replenish my weary soul and my faith will increase.

Get Time Alone With God

Even Jesus took time away with the Father God. When I take time away with God alone, He alleviates the weariness. He takes my burdens and shoulders them for me and He increases my faith so I can fight the good fight of faith during these times of extreme battles. The enemy can be exhausting, I give him that much, but then I wonder if I am my own enemy when it comes to these spiritual battles. God needs to fight the battles and I need to be in followship of Him, this is the correct spiritual alignment of my spirit.

“Jesus whole life was about sacrifice for the glory of His Father in heaven and our salvation! What a calling!! You would think with such a task He would be relentlessly interacting with as many people as possible, trying to help them know God through His life. Even though Jesus clearly did much of that, He made a point of prioritizing His time to first commune with God the Father. He did this not to draw attention to himself, as He often drew away to places of solitude so that He could give God all His attention. Jesus did this to draw strength from the most important relationship in His life.” Author~Stu28 blog.hillsbiblechurch

The Enemy’s Barrage

There are times when the enemy has a full out barrage of stuff just flying at you in all directions and it does make you weary when it is extended over a long period of time. But the Lord told us that if we raise a standard of righteousness against it, it will not stand the test of time. We know as we endure that God’s Promises are an incredible shield for our heart and soul.

Even though Jesus said not to talk about what happened, soon every conversation was consumed by these events. The crowds swelled even larger as people went to hear Jesus preach and to be healed of their many afflictions. 16 Jesus repeatedly left the crowds, though, stealing away into the wilderness to pray. Luke 5:15-16 The Voice

Sword Of The Spirit

The Word of God fires up our heart in a passion ignited by the promises of God that will endure these long nights of enemy terror. The enemy has a broad intention that is to steal, kill and destroy us and he can do that little by little if we don’t protect our heart with the shield of faith and use the sword of the spirit to offensively fight the enemy so we are not always being backed in a corner fighting off the enemy defensively. We need to switch to offensive.

Whenever possible, Jesus seeks out solitude so He can pray and meditate. Jesus reveals His humanity. In these silent and reflective moments, He seems to refuel mentally, physically, and spiritually because Jesus hears His Father speak during His time alone. Throughout Jesus’ ministry on earth, hearing from His Father seems to help Him focus on the mission at hand: redemption. The Voice Commentary Luke 5

Get On The Offense

Weariness will take us over if we are constantly on the defensive of the devil, we need to switch to offense where we are fighting the good fight of faith with all the armor of God as we stay wholly-holy aligned to our Servant Warrior, Jesus Christ, in followship of Him. So, don’t get worn and if you already are worn by the battles of this life, turn and fully face God, the glory glow of His Life will shine on you. Be Offensive!

Living life reacting defensively instead of initiating offensively?

  1. You are always reacting to pressure instead of initiating it.
  2. You are tying to hold ground instead of taking ground.
  3. You are defending at the point of weakness instead of living at your point of strength.
  4. You can’t control the pace of the game; the pace controls you!

Goals: Switch from the defensive side to the offensive side of life because you can’t score without the ball. Status quo is good on defense, but not good for life. Author~ Coach Tom Mullins

The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you; The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious, kind, merciful, and giving favor to you; The Lord lift up His approving countenance upon you and give you peace, tranquility of heart and life continually. Numbers 6:24-27 Amplified Bible

“It should be our earnest aim to keep unbroken our communion with heaven, for it is the most refreshing thing beneath the sun. This world is like an arid desert where there is no water except as we maintain our communion with Christ.” Charles Spurgeon

Water Your Soul With The Word

Psalm 34:19 Hard times may well be the plight of the righteous—they may often seem overwhelmed— but the Eternal rescues the righteous from what oppresses them. The Voice

Matthew 11:28-30 Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Put My yoke upon your shoulders—it might appear heavy at first, but it is perfectly fitted to your curves. Learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble of heart. When you are yoked to Me, your weary souls will find rest. 30 For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light. The Voice

Isaiah 40:29 He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength, causing it to multiply and making it to abound. Amplified Bible

Galatians 6:9 And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint. Amplified Bible

Philippians 3:12-15 The crucified and risen Jesus is the model that Paul desires to embody by walking deep in His pathway of death and life—suffering and resurrection. 12 I’m not there yet, nor have I become perfect; but I am charging on to gain anything and everything the Anointed One, Jesus, has in store for me—and nothing will stand in my way because He has grabbed me and won’t let me go. 13 Brothers and sisters, as I said, I know I have not arrived; but there’s one thing I am doing: I’m leaving my old life behind, putting everything on the line for this mission. 14 I am sprinting toward the only goal that counts: to cross the line, to win the prize, and to hear God’s call to resurrection life found exclusively in Jesus the Anointed. 15 All of us who are mature ought to think the same way about these matters. If you have a different attitude, then God will reveal this to you as well. The Voice
