The Groomsman’s Journal
Journaling, is an incredible way to clarify something that has opened up a learning portal in your soul. You journal to remember the way there, so the next time you have a choice to go in that direction, it is found easily, and the new way is followed. Journaling undo’s old familiar habits and creates a way to establishing new habits. New habits are always good, because it signifies growth and without growth, we are not very successful at our humanity.
The Bridegroom Speaks, and when He does, there is always something fresh, innovative and life changing. It impacts your soul in a way that drives your thoughts crazy wild for a moment. These are the first impressions to His Voice that you may want to write down, so you can mull them over and over in your mind until they establish a new pattern of thinking. This new thought precept, you will find is not synchronized with the world, but very, perfectly aligned with God’s kind of Kingdom thinking, truth and ways.
He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands by and listens to him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. So this pleasure and joy of mine is now complete. He must increase in prominence, but I must decrease. John 3:29-30
The Best Friend Of The Groom, This is you. You have accepted to journey with the Bridegroom, Jesus as He prepares for His wedding day. (To Dig Deeper in this definition of a Groomsman, I suggest you stop and read about The Groomsman.) You are a part of the Bride, and privy to the first hand conversations as the Bride and Groom talk and prepare themselves for their wedding. Groomsman, your preparation always includes decreasing in importance, as all eyes are on the Bridegroom, where they should be. As you stand next to the Bridegroom, listen carefully to what He is saying and write down the things that you hear that must be decreased in importance, so on the wedding day, there is an increased focus on the Bridegroom.
Listen, Write, Prepare, because this is your part of the journey, Groomsman. Prepare your heart with the truth’s you hear the Bridegroom speaking. Flesh out everything that stands out as being more important than what the Bridegroom wants for the Bride when He returns for this wedding. Let everything in your life bring great honor to The Bridegroom’s wishes that you have written in your Groomsman’s Journal.
Jesus Is Returning One Day, for a spotless bride. Write down everything in your Groomsman’s Journal that He has said that needs to change in order for this to happen. As Jesus’ Groomsman, make a plan for you to do your part, to serve the Bridegroom joyfully so this can happen, so you can endure and bring Him great honor.
There Is Much Joy, in hearing the Bridegroom speak of His wedding, of His love, of His commitment to His Bride. You are so blessed to be on this journey with Him, to be positioned as His Groomsman, standing by His side, serving Him as He prepares for His wedding day.
