So as the result of the Messiah’s intervention they shall reverently fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him and put him to flight, for He will come like a rushing stream which the breath of the Lord drives. Amplified Bible Isaiah 59:19

Confusion sweeps over us like a flood it comes in and it knocks us out of position, out of alignment with God’s Peace. We can’t allow confusion to become our companion, we must raise a standard of God’s Truth against it.

We escaped like a bird from a hunter’s trap. The trap is broken, and we are free! Our help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Psalm 124:7-8 New Living Translation

Does fear hold you in its clutches with a grip of chaos? Is your soul caught up by anxiety, being taken to the valley of fear and despair? God is with you, He will rescue you and your soul will be found in HIS place of refuge where His strength covers your head and courage saturates your soul.

God is our shelter and our strength. When troubles seem near, God is nearer, and He’s ready to help. So why run and hide? No fear, no pacing, no biting fingernails. When the earth spins out of control, we are sure and fearless. When mountains crumble and the waters run wild, we are sure and fearless. Even in heavy winds and huge waves, or as mountains shake, we are sure and fearless. A pure stream flows—never to be cut off— bringing joy to the city where God makes His home, the sacred site where the Most High chooses to live. The True God never sleeps and always resides in the city of joy; He makes it unstoppable, unshakable. When it awakes at dawn, the True God has already been at work. Psalm 46:1-5 The Voice

Every bit of our sickness, weakness, brokenness is all on the shoulders of Jesus. He is the ONE, Who will “grow us through”, we must cling wholly-holy to Him. He is working in the unseen for our good, His amazing purposes are in play right now in our lives. We can’t see them now, we only see in part, but we believe, we know He came when we called and He began the work and HE will finish what He started until all is good in us. As we wait, we don’t wait alone, we have a strong Comforter, and Advocate working for us, on our behalf.

I am confident that the Creator, who has begun such a great work among you, will not stop in mid-design but will keep perfecting you until the day Jesus the Anointed, our Liberating King, returns to redeem the world. Philippians 1:6 The Voice

Our Advocate, The Holy Spirit, Who is with us now, He is a Tender Warrior, His heart is full out towards us in the sweetness of His peace, He turns our sorrow to joy. He is fierce in the face of our enemies and He pierces the darkness with His powerful, overwhelming LIGHT. By His very Hands, He will mend what the enemy shattered, no doubt about it. I don’t need to see it to believe it, I know it to be true. Jesus mended the breach between us and God, fixed it forever with a relentless mercy, this is the refuge I wait in, believing God is working all things out for Kingdom good. I believe.

And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby, that He may remain with you forever— John 14:16 Amplified Bible

Jesus: What do you mean, “If there’s anything?” All things are possible, if you only believe. Father (crying in desperation): I believe, Lord. Help me to believe! Mark 9:23-24 The Voice

Hope of all hopes, dream of our dreams, a child is born, sweet-breathed; a son is given to us: a living gift. And even now, with tiny features and dewy hair, He is great. The power of leadership, and the weight of authority, will rest on His shoulders. His name? His name we’ll know in many ways— He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Dear Father everlasting, ever-present never-failing, Master of Wholeness, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 The Voice

For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 New Living Translation

Faith is the assurance of things you have hoped for, the absolute conviction that there are realities you’ve never seen. Hebrews 11:1 The Voice

The apostles said to the Lord, Increase our faith, that trust and confidence that spring from our belief in God. Luke 17:5 Amplified Bible

For now we are looking in a mirror that gives only a dim (blurred) reflection of reality as in a riddle or enigma, but then, when perfection comes we shall see in reality and face to face! Now I know in part (imperfectly), but then I shall know and understand fully and clearly, even in the same manner as I have been fully and clearly known and understood by God. 1 Corinthians 13:12 Amplified Bible

A similar thing happens when we pray. We are weak and do not know how to pray, so the Spirit steps in and articulates prayers for us with groaning too profound for words. Don’t you know that He who pursues and explores the human heart intimately knows the Spirit’s mind because He pleads to God for His saints to align their lives with the will of God? We are confident that God is able to orchestrate everything to work toward something good and beautiful when we love Him and accept His invitation to live according to His plan. From the distant past, His eternal love reached into the future. You see, He knew those who would be His one day, and He chose them beforehand to be conformed to the image of His Son so that Jesus would be the firstborn of a new family of believers, all brothers and sisters. As for those He chose beforehand, He called them to a different destiny so that they would experience what it means to be made right with God and share in His glory. Romans 8:26-29 The Voice

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. 2 Cor. 4:7–11 NIV
