THOUGHTS FROM THE HEART!

******War Does Not Stop For A Break! War Does Not Stop For Anything!******

As a Marine Mom, I know our warriors get battle weary because in war they are giving way beyond what is humanly possible for them. They don’t have a weekend or a day off like we do, they don't stop to celebrate birthdays or holidays, because war does not stop for a break at all. Our warrior has to be constantly on the alert for an enemy whose tactics are relentless and devious. War does not stop for the battle weary either, they must be continuously on alert in order to maintain their safety.

**War Hurts Our Hearts Daily! Our Emotions Get So Stretched - Battle Weary!**

Today, My heart is heavy as I think of our family and all the families affected by the separation of war and how they have to adjust to being one down. I believe the warrior and his family all experience a battle weariness that at times seems to get the best of our emotions. I get battle weary just thinking of the above! I remember the phone calls the most, the ones where your battle weary warrior tells you they can’t go on, they are spent and they have nothing left to give! Your heart hurts because you know they have over half a deployment left to serve with a morale that is lower than dirt. Being thousands and thousands of miles away from them and knowing you can’t help them makes their battle weariness your contagion!

*Failure-Impossibility-Hopelessness! Battle Weary Attitudes! Experienced Them?*

Being battle weary really feeds into your soul a feeling of failure as it paints your spirit in the vivid color of impossibility. Hopelessness then becomes a constant companion to our soul as our spirit becomes saturated in loneliness, hopelessness and despair and our physical strength weakens! This battle weariness becomes an unending circle of exhaustion for the warrior and his family. Battle weary attitudes dive deeply down into the barrenness of parched emotions. Have you felt this at times? I have felt it and I have nosed dived into an emotional pit of despair from my weariness and my inability to adjust my attitudes and walk in the hope of a better tomorrow.

*****War Doesn't Stop For The Weary! Jesus Does! He Is Deployed For Us!*****

Life doesn’t stop for the battle weary and every place becomes a situation where they are beat on by hopelessness as they try to carry on with strength, courage and honor on the outside, all the while on the inside they are sinking into the isolation of soulish-despair which eventually explodes in a fit of anger, impulsive behavior, ill-timed words or desperate tears flowing down the river of hopelessness. Most of you can relate to what you have just read because you are battle weary now or have experienced it before! I think we all have been battle weary as military families as we face-experience lack created by deployments. There seems to never be enough time, money, strength and peace to get us through the fears, worry and anxieties that naturally accompany the deployed warrior and their family. There is hope! Hope In Christ Jesus!

***Jesus Christ, The Brighter Side To Battle Weariness! Let Him Be Enough!***

Looking at the brighter side of battle weariness, in retrospect of being a military family member most of my life, I can say without a doubt the answer lies in this simply-significant wisdom to the wise: LET GOD BE ENOUGH! Jesus Christ is Present in the all of our everything! He Is A Huge Morale Booster In That Special Way Only He Can! He Is all You need! He Is Able! He Can! He will! I know what it is like to be battle weary, but I also know the only One who can break the dysfunctional cycle of battle weariness is Jesus Christ. Cling To Him; Dig Your Roots Deeper In His Love! His is Ever-Present! He is Omnipotent In Power, Strength, Hope And Joy! Jesus Is The Advocate For The Battle Weary! He Will Be The All Of Your Everything, Your Way–Maker – Step By Step! I encourage you, choice by choice to depend upon God and He will transform your battle weary heart into the strength of His Hope and Joy. Just Do It! Be Completely His! Be Found In Him! Let God Be Enough!
