Meditation With God

Restore Reverence ~ Develop AWE

Psalm 42: Just like a deer that craves streams of water, my whole being craves you, God. My whole being thirsts for God, for the living God. When will I come and see God’s face? The Voice

Restore Faith And Trust

“The faith of our generation is weak, the trust of our generation is almost extinct. We have taken over the role of sovereign in our lives and are not doing so well with it. Why? We have lost our reverence our awe and our respect of God and this has trickled down in our relationships with each other. Civility and respect is at an all-time low. We are not willing to give God the time needed to develop our AWE of Him. We don’t spend quality time with God, time to know Him personally, time to spend with Him alone and listen to His voice without the cultural distractions of our worldly viewpoints and our generational say so. Today, we are challenged to start a new spiritual habit of saturating our soul in the AWE of God. Let us be so, the generation that restores reverence and respect for God and each other.” KimberlyMac

By Fire Brimstone

Restore A Kingdom Focus

God is challenging us to change things UP in our lives. He is challenging us to set aside time and #ListenUP. During the long musical prelude of this worship spotlight song, clear your mind, heart, soul and spirit and fully face God, give Him your wholly-holy focus and open your heart, soul, mind, and ears to Him. Truly hear God. Truly know the WHO of Him.

Restore An AWE Of God

We so need to develop our AWE of God in this generation, it has slowly faded away. We need to restore the reverence in the soul of this generation. It begins with us. I challenge you to take this time, set apart a chunk of your time. Do it. Put your ear phones on and during the introduction music, shed all distractions out of your soul, mind and heart and settle in with God’s Presence.

Restore Reverence And Respect Of God

Listen to this with your heart wide open to God, because this reverence of God, this respect of God, this honor of God is so lost to our generation. We need to once again begin connecting heart to heart and Spirit to Spirit with God and truly know the WHO of our AWE-God. We need to be His ambassadors and restore the reverence of God and it begins with us, it begins with us, one by one restoring respect, honor, awe, reverence in our hearts. So I challenge you to “tarry with God” #ListenUP: Restore Reverence of AWE-GOD in your life. #BESo

Mark 8:34-38 Jesus called the crowd together with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to follow Me [as My disciple], he must deny himself [set aside selfish interests], and take up his cross [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me]. For whoever wishes to save his life [in this world] will [eventually] lose it [through death], but whoever loses his life [in this world] for My sake and the gospel’s will save it [from the consequences of sin and separation from God]. For what does it benefit a man to gain the whole world [with all its pleasures], and forfeit his soul? For what will a man give in exchange for his soul and eternal life [in God’s kingdom]? For whoever is ashamed [here and now] of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.” Amplified Bible

Restore Quality Time With God

In America, we have a hard time giving God our time, to meditate on Who He is, to hear His Voice. Our culture has changed us. If it is not quick and easy, we don’t listen, we don’t hear. We are a society that feeds on the newness of quick spurts of excitement and even this doesn’t satisfy us for long, and we keep ourselves busily seeking for something more exciting to feed our insatiable flesh. We are always off and running to the next new thing, pursuing our need for pleasure. We are the disposable generation, pursuing and addicted to experiencing excitement, to being entertained.

Jesus Predicts His Death Mark 8:31-38 Then Jesus began to tell them that the Son of Man must suffer many terrible things and be rejected by the elders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. He would be killed, but three days later he would rise from the dead. 32 As he talked about this openly with his disciples, Peter took him aside and began to reprimand him for saying such things. Jesus turned around and looked at his disciples, then reprimanded Peter. “Get away from me, Satan!” he said. “You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.” 34 Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me. 35 If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it. 36 And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? 37 Is anything worth more than your soul? 38 If anyone is ashamed of me and my message in these adulterous and sinful days, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.” New Living Testament

Restore Kingdom Pursuits

There is no time like the present time to recognize the changes in us. I know I was so restless at the beginning of the introduction. Then I realized that God was showing me, that I was not willing to “tarry” with Him. I had things to do and places to go. I have been culturalized and my awe, respect, reverence and honor for God has faded with the draw to cultural excitement. Try this, do this, experience this. We never truly stop, fully focus and meditate on our God, we don’t have time for God and His Kingdom, the pursuits of this world gobble it all up.

Jesus Prays in Gethsemane Mark 14:32-38 They went to the olive grove called Gethsemane, and Jesus said, “Sit here while I go and pray.” 33 He took Peter, James, and John with him, and he became deeply troubled and distressed. 34 He told them, “My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.” 35 He went on a little farther and fell to the ground. He prayed that, if it were possible, the awful hour awaiting him might pass him by. 36 “Abba, Father,” he cried out, “everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”37 Then he returned and found the disciples asleep. He said to Peter, “Simon, are you asleep? Couldn’t you watch with me even one hour? 38 Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak.” New Living Translation

Restore Truth In Our Soul

We have been changed and it is time to #ChangeUP our lives wholly-holy back to God, back to the things of God, back to giving God time so we can know HIM, develop our AWE of Him, learn to reverence and respect Him, giving Him the glory that is due Him. It is time to “Flesh Out” the insatiable desire for pleasure and entertainment and “Truth In” what will truly hold us and anchor us in the times ahead. Life needs to stop being about us and our way and become all about God and His way. We need to prepare to endure to bring God glory. We need to clearly hear our Bridegroom’s Voice. We need to #ChangeItUP, letting go of our worldly viewpoints, disconnecting from the say so of our culture and #ListenUP to #TheBridegroomsVoice and get a #KingdomPerspective.

Restore Our Kingdom Roots

Yes we are a disposable generation. We want to be fed all the time, quickly and without very little effort on our part. Entertain us and we will not be entertained for long, we will be off and running to the next new thing. We don’t sit for long, we keep busy doing and doing. STOP. God is asking us to return to the basics of life, to return to Him, being wholly-holy HIS and fully focused on His Voice. He is asking us to seek first the Kingdom of God. He is desiring that we cut our roots from this earth and be deeply rooted in His Kingdom. God is speaking to us, The Bridegroom is coming. #Prepare2Endure #ListenUP To #TheBridegroomsVoice. Be So, Wholly-Holy His. Shed all the things that distract you, go through the withdrawals of this worldly entertain and feed me syndrome and get back to being God’s servant leader on mission with Him and for Him. #BESo

I put all my hope in the Lord. He leaned down to me; He listened to my cry for help. He lifted me out of the pit of death, out of the mud and filth, and set my feet on solid rock. He steadied my legs. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise for our God. Psalm 40:1-3
