YES Respond In Christ ~ Love Better ~ Love Best ~ Love Much

You Offended? No, Not You? How many times have you taken up an offense and it hurt you more than the one who had offended you? You were the enemies target not the person who has offended, but the person who has been offended. The enemy is really aggravating with his ways, they are very tricky and deceit filled. He loves especially when we get blinded sided by an offense and he can flip it into a blind spot in our soul, where we can’t see past it to the truth and where a seed of bitterness can grow into a stronghold. Jesus took the time to warn us about taking up an offense and He even showed us what would happen in times of great lawlessness such as these, where the enemy will use this trickery to cause our love for God, His people and His kingdom to grow cold. We so need to guard against this and I pray as you read through this that God will reach into Your heart and pull out and shatter blind spots and pull out bitter roots by the power of Jesus Christ in you.

The love that they had for one another will grow cold because few will obey the law. False prophets will appear, many will be taken in by them, and the only thing that will grow is wickedness. There will be no end to the increase of wickedness. Matthew 24:11-12 The Voice

“Jesus, speaking to four of His disciples about the times just before His Second Advent, tells them that because sin will be so rampant, so commonplace in the last days that the love people once had for one another will become, for the most part, nonexistent. The Greek word “polys” is translated into our English word as “many”. It’s used in numerous places throughout the New Testament denoting multitudes, great and very significant numbers. Imagine, if you can, a world made up of people thoroughly devoid of “love” for their fellow man.” Author~Ron Graham

Response ~ OR ~ Reaction

When the consequence or action of someone else’s sin touches your life in the lawless times such as these, there will either be a reaction or response from you. Our human nature does have some built in things that we are not really proud of that are a part of our original sin nature and it takes self-control to manage them. We can do all things in Christ Jesus. We have an action-reaction condition that is in us all. Jesus wants to teach us how to exchange that for a supernatural response. In times such as these, the enemy has a lot of devices and traps laid for us, and many times we to come face to face with the temptation of taking up an offense that our enemy has divisively blind-sided us with. Jesus, of course has a plan for us too. He is our Bridegroom, we are His Bride and He is preparing His church for times such as these. Jesus wants intimate personal time with us so He can get us ready for the season in front of us. He wants to “flesh out” our action reactions and teach us to be led by His Holy Spirit. It is the desire of our Bridegroom, Jesus for His Bride to be people who respond in that supernatural way of His, with His truth and His love in every life situation we face.

You should have as little desire for this world as a dead person does. Your real life is in heaven with Christ and God. And when Christ who is our real life comes back again, you will shine with him and share in all his glories. Away then with sinful, earthly things; deaden the evil desires lurking within you; have nothing to do with sexual sin, impurity, lust, and shameful desires; don’t worship the good things of life, for that is idolatry. God’s terrible anger is upon those who do such things. You used to do them when your life was still part of this world; but now is the time to cast off and throw away all these rotten garments of anger, hatred, cursing, and dirty language. Don’t tell lies to each other; it was your old life with all its wickedness that did that sort of thing; now it is dead and gone. You are living a brand new kind of life that is continually learning more and more of what is right, and trying constantly to be more and more like Christ who created this new life within you. In this new life one’s nationality or race or education or social position is unimportant; such things mean nothing. Whether a person has Christ is what matters, and he is equally available to all. Since you have been chosen by God who has given you this new kind of life, and because of his deep love and concern for you, you should practice tenderhearted mercy and kindness to others. Don’t worry about making a good impression on them, but be ready to suffer quietly and patiently. Be gentle and ready to forgive; never hold grudges. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Most of all, let love guide your life, for then the whole church will stay together in perfect harmony. Let the peace of heart that comes from Christ be always present in your hearts and lives, for this is your responsibility and privilege as members of his body. And always be thankful. Remember what Christ taught, and let his words enrich your lives and make you wise; teach them to each other and sing them out in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing to the Lord with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, let it be as a representative of the Lord Jesus, and come with him into the presence of God the Father to give him your thanks. Colossians 3:3-17 TLB

“What a Christian is to be, is one who is cloaked, who is clothed, who is garmented with the character, the disposition, the attitude, the habits and the virtues of Jesus Christ. When there was a search among unbelievers for a title even for those who followed Christ, the title chosen was “Christians, little Christs.” That’s still true. We are to put on Jesus Christ. That’s what “Christian” means.” Author~John MacArthur

Responsibility ~ Accountability ~ Consequences

Every action has a reaction. Every sin has a consequence. Reaction and consequence are felt by all. The “actee” is liable for the actions reaction. The sinner is accountable to the consequences others suffer because of their sin. Responsibility is our choice from every moment to every decision we make. Accountability to God in a daily vital-vertical relationship is a good plan for us, because we have been equipped in preparation with God’s truth to endure temptation and bring honor to Him. No bad action, no bad reaction is equal to no sin and no painful consequence. Make the right choice from every moment into every choice. How? You can do all things through Jesus, being in vital-vertical relationship with Him, you are prepared to endure and bring honor to Him.

And now consider this. You know well the times you are living in. It is time for you to wake up and see what is right before your eyes: for salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed. The darkness of night is dissolving as dawn’s light draws near, so walk out on your old dark life and put on the armor of light. May we all act as good and respectable people, living today the same way as we will in the day of His coming. Do not fall into patterns of dark living: wild partying, drunkenness, sexual depravity, decadent gratification, quarreling, and jealousy. Instead, wrap yourselves in the Lord Jesus, God’s Anointed, and do not fuel your sinful imagination by indulging your self-seeking desire for the pleasures of the flesh. Romans 13:10-14 The Voice

“Jesus felt the pain of betrayal, but chose not to respond negatively to it. He did not curse Judas or Peter. He was not angry with them. He recognized that what happened to Him was part of God’s purpose and plan to help him become the Son of God and redeemer of our sins. Jesus chose what he would do with the situations. In the same way, we have to make a choice when others hurt us and betray us. Are we going to get even, bitter, and seek revenge?” Author~Shade’ Brunson
