This Poem Was Written By A United States Marine And Was From His Point of View, As He Defended Our Liberty And Fought To Secure Freedom For Those Who Live Within Inhumane Injustice.
Currently In The Middle East And All Throughout Our World, Our Vision Of Freedom Shines Through Our Military, Through Their Sacrificial Pursuit of Liberty And Justice For All, They Represent The True Spirit Of The United States Of America! Liberty Lives, As Freedom Gives!
As A Mother Of A United States Marine, A Mother Whose Son’s Life Was On The Line For Twelve Years; A Son Whom I Rarely Got To See, Or Sometimes Seldom Got To Hear His Voice; I Understand The Sacrifice That Military Families Make, That Keeps Freedom Ringing In Our Land And I Am Grateful.
“Our Sons And Daughters Have Sworn To Protect The Liberty And Justice For All, At Any Cost, Even Their Lives! These United States Military Have No Room For Personal Gain And No Luxury For Lackadaisical Emotion, They Focus On Their Mission To Protect And Preserve Freedom, Liberty And Justice For All And They Get The Job Done, No Matter What It Costs Them!” MommaMac
Today I Ask You To Choose To Remember The Perspective Of One Who Knows, A United States Marine Who Walked In The Lands of Those Who Are Not Free And Put His Life In Danger Daily; One Who Went For Days Not Eating And Sleeping, Just To Defend And Secure Liberty And Justice For Those Who Have None; One Who Relives In His Dreams The Horror Of The Atrocities That Were Inflicted On Men, Women And Children Who Are Not Free. One Who Daily Remembers The Hopeless And Agonizing Sounds Of War And Hears The Cries Of Those Who Are Daily Mistreated By A Lifestyle Devoid Of Respect For Human Life, Freedom, Justice And Liberty For All.
God Bless The United States Of America, The Land Of The Free And The Brave! This America Is The Country That Every United States Military Personnel Anticipates In His Heart To Return To, As They Are Fighting Far From Home For Sovereignty For Those In Other Countries Who Have No True Justice. It Is The American Spirit Of True Liberty And Civility, Which Gives Them The Courage And Compassion To Bravely And Tenaciously Fight For Those Who Have Been Treated Savagely Unjust.
Today, Listen Carefully To The Words And Heart Of This Medically Retired United States Marine, Now A Wounded Warrior, A Veteran, One Who Put His Life On The Line Daily To Preserve Our Freedom And Secure Justice For Those Who Have Been Abused By The Unwarranted and Unsecured Autonomy Of The Heartless! Listen To This United States Marine, Who Had An Experience With A Small Child Who Was A Refugee Fleeing For His Life (Running From His Home And Trying To Find Safety From The Evil Men Who Raided His Village, Pillaging And Killing His Family) This Young Boy Broke Free From The Grip Of His Mother And With Determined Purpose Ran With All His Strength Up To My Son, A United States Marine, A Human Symbol Of His Childlike Hope For Freedom and Justice For His Life, For His Family, For His Country. This Young Refugee Threw His Small Arms Around The Waist Of This Big And Strong United States Marine And Looked Up Into His Eyes With Hope Saying: “Thank You American GI!” This Child, This Little Boy Knew The Value Of Our Freedom, Justice And Liberty For All And Recognized That These United States Marines Were Trying To Secure It For His People And It Gave Him A Renewed Hope For His Life. The people here are hurting,
their everyday lives are concerning!
On the outside they are happy and content
But on the inside their immortal souls are spent.
When you look in their eyes… they reveal,
the secret pain that they try to seal.
The loss they have suffered is severe,
these children have shed too many tears!
But we, The United States Marines bring them hope!
Our presence here helps them to cope
with the everyday struggles of life
and the day to day toils and strife.
We make their world a better place to be,
for their grandchildren that they have yet to see!
So think twice before you question why our troops are here
and at what cost are we losing loved ones so dear.
Because I have seen the hurting people of this land,
I have witnessed their pain first hand;
And I understand the reason we are here,
And I know that victory for these people is near!
They no longer have to hide in fear,
for they know that their cries for liberty we hear
and that the United States Marines are always near!
