Is It Biblical

I have been crucified with the Anointed One—I am no longer alive—but the Anointed is living in me; and whatever life I have left in this failing body I live by the faithfulness of God’s Son, the One who loves me and gave His body on the cross for me. Galatians 2:20 The Voice

Doing Religion

Is what you are doing biblical? The condemnation of our enemy says: It is not biblical. Conviction of the Holy Spirit says: Give your life to Jesus, listen to Him first, follow His Voice of Living Truth, first.  Is it biblical? What is biblical? Biblical is turning from dependence on yourself, looking to Jesus and depending on Him. Biblical is surrendering to God in that wholly-holy kind of way. Biblical is listening up to Jesus’ way, truth and life, first, and following Jesus, first. I call this being a “firstee” which plays out in your life by keeping your identity in Jesus, as your first and only identity you surrender to and live for.

Religion Replacement

Jesus Christ came to us, He took the “not biblical” of our flesh, the sin nature of our humanity, which in subjection to biblical laws had failed, and He paid the price for our human nature fiasco. The law, He replaced it. Why? because “doing biblical” was not enough. He took the law, and our identity with the law and replaced it with Himself. The law by itself had not been able to fix the human nature in a powerful, miraculous way. Jesus became the living law, from religion to relationship, from dead end living to resurrection power living. Jesus did not abolish the law, He completed its purpose. God wrote His law on our hearts, so it was no longer stone-cold obedience, it became heart to Heart relational life with God.

Relationship With God

Is it enough to be “biblical” without relationship with God? The Bible is not enough. Being “biblical” is not enough. Our flesh is weak. Read the Old Testament and look at those who came before us. It was a cycle of sin. Judgement, repentance, coming back under the law, and sinning again. The law was not enough to tame the human flesh. Jesus Christ is enough. He came to free us from the law, which did not strengthen our human weakness. The law had no power of transformation, no holding power. Jesus Christ is the strength to our weakness and submitted to Him, heart to Heart and spirit to Spirit, we can live in Him with love and strength, for all the things He sets our lives to.

Be Found In Jesus

Is what you are doing biblical? How can you answer that question? Is it biblical? Our hearts are desperately wicked. This is biblical. Begin here with this truth: wherever you are, whatever situation you find yourself in, it is not completely  good, it is not fully right, it is not wholly biblical, and you are never enough in your flesh without Your Savior, Jesus. We, human beings will always need Jesus to make things complete and right. Turn and fully face Jesus, give your heart wholly-holy to Him.

Only Jesus Redeems

The best way to begin anew, to have a fresh start is to ask Jesus to forgive you for every failure of your flesh. Flesh out and make room for Jesus in your life. He has given you this moment of your life, which consists of the next breath He has destined for you to inhale. Jesus is your Savior, the redeemer of your flesh. Surrender the all of who you are, lay down every earthly identity and title that keeps you from the one identity that you need, and that identity is to be found “In Christ”. This is biblical. Be found in Jesus, He is the way, the truth and the life. Be related to Jesus first, in relationship with Him first. In Christ, is the best “biblical” you can be and your only true identity that strengthens your human weakness and helps you grow through life in honor, courage and God glory.

What actually took place is this: I tried keeping rules and working my head off to please God, and it didn’t work. So I quit being a “law man” so that I could be God’s man. Christ’s life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not “mine,” but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I am not going to go back on that. Is it not clear to you that to go back to that old rule-keeping, peer-pleasing religion would be an abandonment of everything personal and free in my relationship with God? I refuse to do that, to repudiate God’s grace. If a living relationship with God could come by rule-keeping, then Christ died unnecessarily. Galatians 2:20 The Message

Jesus Christ Is Enough

Jesus comes into our human mess and He makes it a “biblical message”. We can’t “do biblical” without being found in Him, in personal, vital-vertical relationship with Him. If you are not In Christ, I am pretty sure, where you find yourself today is not biblical. If you are not “In Christ”, He is your identity. The one truth of the bible is this: We ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. This is biblical. Nothing we human beings do is wholly-holy “biblical”. Jesus came to us, to save us from all things us, so we could be “born again” not to flesh, but to spirit. Our flesh is never enough and subjecting it to religiosity, is aligning it with failure. Our spirit comes alive in Jesus, He is our way, truth and life. Jesus Christ is enough.

Jesus Is Our Identity

Is what you are doing biblical? Being biblical does not justify you. Jesus Christ came to us, died our death, just as if we had never sinned. Jesus took on our sins and made us right before God. He was the final sacrifice for our sins. Connected heart to Heart with Jesus, we are justified in Him, just as if we never sinned. He takes our sins and throws them as far as the east is from the west. Justification does not come from being biblical, it comes as a result of being found in Jesus Christ. We can never be right, He is our righteousness, He is our justification, He is our sanctification and in Him we are made right. Put your identity in Jesus first.

Human Mess To God Message

Jesus ended the law by coming to us, here on this earth. He lived among us and He lived without sin. By virtue of the willing sacrifice of Jesus’ life for us, He became the end of the law. He dead ended the question: Is what you are doing biblical? The law does not answer this question anymore. Jesus is the answer. Why? The demands of the law on humanity have been fully met in our Savior, Jesus Christ. Follow Jesus, identify your life in Him and listen up to His Voice, His Holy Spirit leads us, Jesus still speaks to us on this day. In followship of Jesus’ Holy Spirit, through vital vertical relationship with God, you will be biblical in all of your ways. Is this biblical? Are you wholly-holy aligned with God? Get there, follow Him first and He will lead you from your human mess into His message. This is biblical.

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 New International Version

Reconciled And Restored

Being found in Jesus, in personal relationship with Jesus, satisfies the strains of the law upon our flesh. The righteousness of Jesus Christ reconciled us and restored us to a pleasing relationship with God and it keeps us there. We don’t live by the constrains of: Is what we are doing biblical? We live free from the law, free from its penalty, we live in Christ Jesus, under the law of His grace and in a love relationship with God. The love of God constrains us as we personally listen up to His Voice and are guided by Him moment by moment through personal relationship. Is the controlling voice in your life the love of God? This is biblical.

Have You Bowed?

Is it biblical? Are you in a human mess of your own making? Taking the biblical high road is not a permanent fix for your human predicament. Doing something for the sake of it being biblical is putting yourself back underneath the law, a burden you can’t sustain, a yoke to heavy for you to carry very long. Your will powered strength will fail you. The right question is: Are you in a vital-vertical relationship with Jesus? This is all the “biblical” you need. Jesus, by the power of His Holy Spirit, will guide you one day at a time, to fight the good fight of faith, through Him, the Living Word, the way of truth. The Holy Spirit is your Advocate. Listen up to Him. Literally, let your first step out every day, be bowed in flesh before Jesus. Have you bowed? This is biblical.

Pray It UP

Jesus, I am not enough, being biblical is not enough, I submit myself to You, I surrender this day to Your will for me. Guide me by the power of Your Holy Spirit, help me to walk in followship of You, to listen to Your Voice first today today, step by step. I want to be controlled by Your love and not by the condemnation of my enemy. Today, I want to live wholly-holy for You, our of my love for You, Who loved me sacrificially and unconditionally, even in my human mess. Make my life count today, I pray I will add eternal value to this day because of Your Holy Spirit alive in me. For the glory of Your Kingdom, subdue my flesh and empower my spirit. I submit my life to You, Jesus and pray for You to continue what You have started in me. I hope on this day to grow through every moment to every choice with a continual fleshing out, in constant conversation with You, learning to be better in Christ, my true identity, my only identity that matters on this day. I don’t want to do things biblical as much as I desire to be found in You. In this day my identity, will stay wholly-holy aligned in You.

You Are Biblical

Today, wholly-holy aligned in personal relationship with Jesus Christ, following after His Voice, you are biblical. We are free from the Mosaic Law and are under the law of Christ, which is to love God with all of our being, and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Our identity is in Christ alone and being found in Him today, you are biblical.

Freedom in Christ!  So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law. Galatians 5:1 NLT

Romans 5:8
But think about this: while we were wasting our lives in sin, God revealed His powerful love to us in a tangible display—the Anointed One died for us. The Voice

Romans 3:21-26  But now for the good news: God’s restorative justice has entered the world, independent of the law. Both the law and the prophets told us this day would come. 22 This redeeming justice comes through the faithfulness of Jesus,[a] the Anointed One, the Liberating King, who makes salvation a reality for all who believe—without the slightest partiality. 23 You see, all have sinned, and all their futile attempts to reach God in His glory fail. 24 Yet they are now saved and set right by His free gift of grace through the redemption available only in Jesus the Anointed. 25 When God set Him up to be the sacrifice—the seat of mercy where sins are atoned through faith—His blood became the demonstration of God’s own restorative justice. All of this confirms His faithfulness to the promise, for over the course of human history God patiently held back as He dealt with the sins being committed. 26 This expression of God’s restorative justice displays in the present that He is just and righteous and that He makes right those who trust and commit themselves to Jesus. The Voice

Galatians 2:16

Yet we know that a man is not [a]justified [and placed in right standing with God] by works of the Law, but [only] through faith in [God’s beloved Son,] Christ Jesus. And even we [as Jews] have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law. By observing the Law no one will ever be justified [declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty]. Amplified Bible

Galatians 3:13-14

Christ redeemed us from that self-defeating, cursed life by absorbing it completely into himself. Do you remember the Scripture that says, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”? That is what happened when Jesus was nailed to the cross: He became a curse, and at the same time dissolved the curse. And now, because of that, the air is cleared and we can see that Abraham’s blessing is present and available for non-Jews, too. We are all able to receive God’s life, his Spirit, in and with us by believing—just the way Abraham received it. The Message Bible

Romans 5:18-19

So then as through one trespass [Adam’s sin] there resulted condemnation for all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to [a]all men. 19 For just as through one man’s disobedience [his failure to hear, his carelessness] the many were made sinners, so through the obedience of the one Man the many will be made righteous and acceptable to God and brought into right standing with Him. Amplified Bible

Matthew 11:30

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” The Message

Philippians 3:9

When it counts, I want to be found belonging to Him, not clinging to my own righteousness based on law, but actively relying on the faithfulness of the Anointed One. This is true righteousness, supplied by God, acquired by faith. The Voice

Galatians 5:1

Walk by the Spirit. It was for this freedom that Christ set us free [completely liberating us]; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery [which you once removed]. Amplified Bible

Romans 6:6-11

Could it be any clearer? Our old way of life was nailed to the cross with Christ, a decisive end to that sin-miserable life—no longer at sin’s every beck and call! What we believe is this: If we get included in Christ’s sin-conquering death, we also get included in his life-saving resurrection. We know that when Jesus was raised from the dead it was a signal of the end of death-as-the-end. Never again will death have the last word. When Jesus died, he took sin down with him, but alive he brings God down to us. From now on, think of it this way: Sin speaks a dead language that means nothing to you; God speaks your mother tongue, and you hang on every word. You are dead to sin and alive to God. That’s what Jesus did. Message Bible

2 Corinthians 5:14

You see, the controlling force in our lives is the love of the Anointed One. And our confession is this: One died for all; therefore, all have died. The Voice

Galatians 3:27-28

For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. New International Version

Romans 5:1

In God’s plan to restore a fallen and disfigured world, Abraham became the father of all of us, the agent of blessing to everyone. Jesus completes what God started centuries before when He established Abraham’s covenant family. Those who put faith in Jesus and call Him “Lord” become part of Abraham’s faith family. Because God is gracious, loving, and merciful, men and women from every corner of the earth are not only declared right, but ultimately are made right as well. It happens through God’s actions—not our efforts—in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus who was crucified for our misdeeds and raised to repair what has been wrong all along. So the promises of God made long years ago are being realized in men and women who hear the call of faith and answer “yes” to it. 5 Since we have been acquitted and made right through faith, we are able to experience true and lasting peace with God through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, the Liberating King. The Voice Commentary Of Romans 5:1

2 Corinthians 5:17 Our Identity

Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life]. Amplified Bible

I am so glad you stopped in the Author Table in The Bridegroom’s Café to nourish your soul. I asked God a question the other day. Is it biblical? Is what I am doing biblical? This piece I wrote today, was His answer to me. When I first became a Christian, I became free from the law, free in Christ, but before long I returned to the way of the law. I became very self-righteous and religiosity became my god. What a miserable way to live. Trying to live right, without Jesus. It makes for very stressful life relationships. I lost my first love, Jesus Christ. I put myself back under the law, which Jesus died to take me out from underneath. The truth of Galatians 5:1 it set me free and once again, I returned to a vital-vertical relationship with God. Our enemy wants to position us back under the law that Jesus died to free us from. Therefore, the question: Is it biblical? That was from my enemy. The real question is do I serve the identity of religion, or is my identity found in Jesus Christ? Am I in a vital-vertical relationship with Jesus Christ? Is it biblical? Jesus is enough is the right answer to my question. We need to hear the Voice of our Bridegroom first. I highly suggest you take the journey with Jesus in the book: The Bridegroom’s Voice. Listen up to God first, follow after God’s Voice first. Please leave me a comment on how this meal today “Is It Biblical” served at the Author Table, in The Bridegroom’s Café today, nourished you. God bless you, Much! KimberlyMac
