In Your Arms

“Hallowed by Your name, Lord. Do whatever it takes to be holy in my life. Take your rightful place on the throne. Exalt yourself. Magnify yourself. Glorify yourself. You be Lord, and I’ll be quiet.” Author~ Max Lucado

Psalm 116:1-2 I love the Eternal; for not only does He hear my voice, my pleas for mercy, But He leaned down when I was in trouble and brought His ear close to me. So as long as I have breath, I will call on Him.

Characteristics Of Jesus

Call upon the name of the Lord and you WILL be saved. Immediately Jesus responds to our cry. This is what He does, this is Who He is. He came to earth to be with us, He comes to us now, His Presence is omnipresent with us always, He went to prepare a way for us. Jesus, our way, truth and life, be found in Him, be found as His. In His Arms you will find His peace that surpasses all your understanding and You will know He is the solution to everything you are trying to figure out in your life.

Matthew 6:33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need. NLT

We Belong In God’s Presence

This is where we belong, in His arms, in His Presence always. We need to let go of this world with all its chaos, confusion and cultural say so and fully embrace Jesus. We hesitate, we wait, we try to figure things out, do things on our own, follow our worldly viewpoint instead of chasing hard after the Kingdom perspective of God.

Isaiah 30:15 For the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, says: Only in returning to me and waiting for me will you be saved; in quietness and confidence is your strength; but you’ll have none of this. TLB

Rest In The Arms Of Jesus

We live in a hurry up harried busy world. This is our culture, it is social media loud with all kinds of cultural say so bombarding our ears and sight. We live on lurid overload and we are excitement junkies addicted to the temporary thrills of this world. We are constantly looking for the next new thing we can trot off too, even when we haven’t fully experienced the last new thing. We move on from temporary feeling to impermanent feeling trying to find that next new thing that will make us feel more excited and better than the last thing we tried. We are embracing way too many experiences without being changed at all by anything, we are living on the surface and God is calling us out, calling us to a deeper life, a quiet life, a restful life in the arms of Jesus.

“We need to find God, and He cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature – trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence…We need silence to be able to touch souls.” Mother Teresa

Matthew 11:28-30 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” NLT

The Miraculous Holy Ground

Rest is our inheritance. Resting in Jesus, sitting in His Presence and experiencing the life flow of our Prince of Peace. Stop the roller coaster, get off and get down on your knees and find that place of rest in Jesus, quiet for your soul, refreshment for your spirit. Bow before God, connect with Him heart to Heart and spirit to Spirit. Simply-Significantly silence in the Presence of God is powerful in that way we can’t even begin to imagine. It is miraculous to be found wholly-holy-His in the Presence of His Holy Spirit; fully facing Him, will bowed, soul submitted, spirit wide open to His anointing. Turn off the switch to this world and find that holy ground in the Presence of Jesus and fully embrace Your God. Be found in the Arms of Jesus, this is your salvation birthright.

John 10:6-10 Jesus told this simple story, but they had no idea what he was talking about. So he tried again. “I’ll be explicit, then. I am the Gate for the sheep. All those others are up to no good—sheep stealers, every one of them. But the sheep didn’t listen to them. I am the Gate. Anyone who goes through me will be cared for—will freely go in and out, and find pasture. A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of. The Message

“Gentle us, Holy One, into an unclenched moment, a deep breath a letting go of heavy expectations, of shriveling anxieties, of dead certainties, that, softened by the silence, surrounded by the light, and open to the mystery, we may be found by wholeness, upheld by the unfathomable entranced by the simple, and filled with the joy that is you.” Quote By Ted Loder

Quiet Times Refresh Our Soul

The fresh revelation that we find in those precious “quiet times” with Jesus is what carries us through with bold confidence, and everlasting hope. Oh how we need our vital-vertical relationship with Jesus, how we need to be found quiet in His arms, embraced in His Grace. He is the only one who can help us and be the solution for our every question, the abundance for our every need. It is the position of our greatest strength as our weaknesses are infused with His strength and our soul is wrapped in His endless grace. There is no greater place of passion, purpose, provision, protection then in a personal relationship with Jesus, embracing His Holy Spirit, heart to Heart.

Psalm 81:6-16 “Now I will take the load from your shoulders; I will free your hands from their heavy tasks. You cried to me in trouble, and I saved you; I answered out of the thundercloud and tested your faith when there was no water at Meribah. Interlude “Listen to me, O my people, while I give you stern warnings. O Israel, if you would only listen to me! You must never have a foreign god; you must not bow down before a false god. For it was I, the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt.Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it with good things. “But no, my people wouldn’t listen. Israel did not want me around. So I let them follow their own stubborn desires, living according to their own ideas. Oh, that my people would listen to me! Oh, that Israel would follow me, walking in my paths! How quickly I would then subdue their enemies! How soon my hands would be upon their foes!  Those who hate the Lord would cringe before him; they would be doomed forever. But I would feed you with the finest wheat. I would satisfy you with wild honey from the rock.” NLT

Together we are a cross.

“The road to true intimacy with God is an inward journey, proceeding into His Presence through the entrance gate of quietness of the soul. It is a narrow track that lies well off the beaten path, virtually unseen and ignored by the vast majority of humanity careening headlong through life.” Quote By Jim Goll

In A Vital-Vertical Relationship With Jesus There Is A Daily Cleansing, Healing Love Poured Over Us And We Take That Love And Purity Into Our World. This Is The Power Of The Cross And It Begins In The Arms Of Jesus.

Look on me with a heart of mercy, O God, according to Your generous love. According to Your great compassion, wipe out every consequence of my shameful crimes. Thoroughly wash me, inside and out, of all my crooked deeds. Cleanse me from my sins. For I am fully aware of all I have done wrong, and my guilt is there, staring me in the face. VS 10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; restore within me a sense of being brand new. Do not throw me far away from Your presence, and do not remove Your Holy Spirit from me. Give back to me the deep delight of being saved by You; let Your willing Spirit sustain me. If You do, I promise to teach rebels Your ways and help sinners find their way back to You. God is faithfully waiting for us to come to Him. He waits and when we come to Him, He doesn’t hesitate to embrace us with a mercy that this world can’t ever offer us and in His Mighty Right Hand we are renewed and strengthened. He washes off the temporary, fleshes out our soul, washes our spirit and we experience the permanence of our future and hope, that peace, purpose, and provision that is so miraculous.
