In Christ Alone

Our enemies today may not be the same as in biblical times, but they are no less real. Consider the threats on the horizon. Some may be national. Others may be more personal. Still they come to surround us and destroy us if they could only get the chance. The reality is there are times when our enemies appear to have the upper hand and our cause is lost. But wait and listen to the psalm! All is not lost because, ultimately, God is our light and salvation. The darkness will lift, and our Savior will come. He will settle all scores, and we will live in the beauty of His presence. Psalm 27 The Voice Commentary

In Christ Alone!

Yes, here in the love of Jesus Christ I stand today. He is my light, strength and song of hope when all else seems hopeless. He is my peace that settles my restless soul. He stills my fears and stops my human strivings dead, with His purpose, power and possibility. He is my holy ground, my solid ground, that I can anchor to with great hope in the all of Who He is. My ALL in all, Jesus, I stand in and by Your Power.

The Eternal is my light amidst my darkness and my rescue in times of trouble. So whom shall I fear? He surrounds me with a fortress of protection. So nothing should cause me alarm. Psalm 27:1

In Christ Alone!

I Am wholly-holy His and He is mine today, tomorrow and forever. No one can snatch me out of His hand. No matter what I am “growing through”, His power is in me and He commands my destiny. There is no hellish foolishness of my enemy that can change this. None. In God’s power I will “grow through” this life and stand on the side of His Truth confidently and with His strength at all times.

I give them eternal life and they shall never perish. No one shall snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else, so no one can kidnap them from me. I and the Father are one. John 10:28-30 Living Bible

In Christ Alone!

I Will fight the good fight of faith from here to there unto forever. I will find my strength, my hope, my help in Jesus Christ alone. When the enemy comes into my life like a flood, I will raise up a standard of truth against him. Jesus Christ, my risen Savior will fight against the dim obscurity my enemy has lain in my life path and will pierce it with His Glorious light that shatters the darkness with His truth, kingdom truth, which stands through the tests of cultural storm tides. God’s truth outlasts the shallow nature of these insidious tests of our enemy, trumping every lie deceptively set in place by the enemy of our souls, with His powerful punch of Kingdom reality. A deceptive reality set up by assumptions the enemy has set in our mind, is corrupted by God’s truth and cannot function, in the presence of such powerful, living truth.

Timothy, don’t let this happen to you—run away from these things! You are a man of God. Your quest is for justice, godliness, faithfulness, love, perseverance, and gentleness. Paul asks this young leader to shepherd a divided congregation through one problem after another. He points to a time when Jesus will arrive to set this world straight. Fight the good fight of the faith! Cling to the eternal life you were called to when you confessed the good confession before witnesses. Before God—the life-giving Creator of all things—and Jesus the Anointed, our Liberating King, who made the good confession to Pontius Pilate, I urge you: 1 Timothy 6:11-13 The Voice

In Christ Alone!

I Know Jesus commands my destiny. No scheme of man can block me from Him or His purpose, power, provision, and peace. I stand in Christ alone. Nothing formed against me by my enemy will be able to prosper. The Providential care of God blankets me and His two-fold purpose is always in play in every challenge I face. God will make things good for me and God will bring glory to His Kingdom. No doubt about it. When darkness falls all around me, Jesus is with me, He is my inner light, a peace that guides my way from morning to evening. When I lay down my head at night I will sleep unburdened and peaceful, knowing I am His, know He is in Sovereignly in control of my life. He is my ever present help. He will never leave me, He will never forsake me, He will always be God’s Providential care of my life.

If a nation marches against you, know that I am not behind it. Anyone foolish enough to challenge you will fall to you. I have created the blacksmith who readies the fire and forges weapons for wars; And I have created the destroyer to ravage and ruin. But no instrument forged against you will be allowed to hurt you, and no voice raised to condemn you will successfully prosecute you. It’s that simple; this is how it will be for the servants of the Eternal; I will vindicate them. Isaiah 54:15-17 The Voice

In Christ Alone!

I Have His peace, even if the enemies darkness falls all over my life path, my peace is confidently in Jesus. I know I have a future and hope in God’s Kingdom. Jesus is my King, He is my Lord of all. I submit my life to Him and in His presence, when I get knocked around by the storms of this fallen world, where the enemy of my soul is wanting to kill, steal and destroy my connection to Jesus, I cling to God to the hope I have in Him, I take refuge in Him. With every single trial the enemy commences, he wants to push my alignment with Jesus out whack, and maliciously plans with an evil intent to keep me distracted from having a vital-vertical relationship with Jesus. I love Jesus and no matter the strength of the storms around me, I will, I will, I will readjust and realign myself in holy alignment and wholly alliance with God. I will be found in a vital-vertical relationship with Jesus Christ at all times and by the power of His Holy Spirit in me and through me, I will live.

I am the gate; whoever enters through Me will be liberated, will go in and go out, and will find pastures. 10 The thief approaches with malicious intent, looking to steal, slaughter, and destroy; I came to give life with joy and abundance. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep in His care. The hired hand is not like the shepherd caring for His own sheep. When a wolf attacks, snatching and scattering the sheep, he runs for his life, leaving them defenseless. The hired hand runs because he works only for wages and does not care for the sheep. I am the good shepherd; I know My sheep, and My sheep know Me. As the Father knows Me, I know the Father; I will give My life for the sheep. There are many more sheep than you can see here, and I will bring them as well. They will hear My voice, and the flock will be united. One flock. One shepherd. John 10:9-16 The Voice

In Christ Alone

I Worship God today and every day with my awe, respect, reverence thanks and gratitude in my heart. I am so grateful for Jesus. He is my only friend who sticks with me in thick and thin. He is find-able. He is always present, ready and willing to be a friend to me at all times. He doesn’t withdraw His presence from me in the times that I mess up in this human condition of mine. No, He continues to reach for me, willing to bear with me and work out His purposes through our relationship. I cannot fathom the depth of this kind of love He has for me. I am in awe of Him and the special way that He devotes Himself to me.

A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. Proverbs 17:17 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. John 15:15 ESV

In Christ Alone!

I Have a steadied, healthy soul. God doesn’t punish me by beating up my soul. He allows me to grow through my life, learn and experience through my fleshly failures, without turning His back on me, He stays with me. He is the best kind of friend, One Who never leaves me no matter what. Jesus, my Savior, He will never betray me, disappoint me, or trick me like the enemy of our soul is continuously and relentlessly doing. Jesus has good plans for my life and I have a great future in Him.

Finally, brothers and sisters, draw your strength and might from God. Put on the full armor of God to protect yourselves from the devil and his evil schemes. We’re not waging war against enemies of flesh and blood alone. No, this fight is against tyrants, against authorities, against supernatural powers and demon princes that slither in the darkness of this world, and against wicked spiritual armies that lurk about in heavenly places. And this is why you need to be head-to-toe in the full armor of God: so you can resist during these evil days and be fully prepared to hold your ground. Yes, stand—truth banded around your waist, righteousness as your chest plate, and feet protected in preparation to proclaim the good news of peace. Don’t forget to raise the shield of faith above all else, so you will be able to extinguish flaming spears hurled at you from the wicked one. Take also the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Paul knows that the real battles and dangers we face are not against flesh and blood. The enemies we see are real enough, but they are animated by spiritual forces of darkness that stay strategically hidden from view. These powers often reveal themselves in institutional evils—genocide, terror, tyranny, and oppression—but the weapons needed to combat them are not earthly weapons at all. What is needed, Paul advises, is to stand firm in God’s power and to suit up in the full armor of God. Although the devil and his demon armies are destined for destruction, they are serious threats now and must be resisted and beaten back. For Paul, the best offensive weapons we have are the word of God and prayer. Pray always. Pray in the Spirit. Pray about everything in every way you know how! And keeping all this in mind, pray on behalf of God’s people. Keep on praying feverishly, and be on the lookout until evil has been stayed. Ephesians 6:10-18

In Christ Alone!

I Believe and have experienced the best part of my relationship with God and that is, Jesus never lies to me. He has NEVER told me a lie, is always truthful in that wholly-holy kind of way of His. Jesus doesn’t assume, rationalize or presume. He is always dealing with me in the fullness of truth, speaking the truth to me always, in His great love. He is so trustworthy in that kind of way of His where He will never leave me or forsake me, He will always be one hundred percent for me. There is no compromise in His commitment to me.

The Lord will destroy the nations living in the land, just as he destroyed Sihon and Og, the kings of the Amorites. The Lord will deliver over to you the people living there, and you shall destroy them as I have commanded you. Be strong! Be courageous! Do not be afraid of them! For the Lord your God will be with you. He will neither fail you nor forsake you. Then Moses called for Joshua and said to him, as all Israel watched, “Be strong! Be courageous! For you shall lead these people into the land promised by the Lord to their ancestors; see to it that they conquer it. Deuteronomy 31:4-7 Living Bible

In Christ Alone!

I Have unconditional acceptance in my relationship with God. Jesus won’t withdraw His friendship from me because I don’t measure up to His standards, yet. He is kind, He will never be rude to me and He respects me for who I am, the who He has shaped me to be. He takes care of my soul like no other friend ever could. He will never intentionally hurt me or do anything that would break my spirit.

If you have heard Jesus and have been taught by Him according to the truth that is in Him, then you know to take off your former way of life, your crumpled old self—that dark blot of a soul corrupted by deceitful desire and lust— to take a fresh breath and to let God renew your attitude and spirit. Then you are ready to put on your new self, modeled after the very likeness of God: truthful, righteous, and holy. So put away your lies and speak the truth to one another because we are all part of one another. When you are angry, don’t let it carry you into sin. Don’t let the sun set with anger in your heart or give the devil room to work. If you have been stealing, stop. Thieves must go to work like everyone else and work honestly with their hands so that they can share with anyone who has a need. Don’t let even one rotten word seep out of your mouths. Instead, offer only fresh words that build others up when they need it most. That way your good words will communicate grace to those who hear them. It’s time to stop bringing grief to God’s Holy Spirit; you have been sealed with the Spirit, marked as His own for the day of rescue. Banish bitterness, rage and anger, shouting and slander, and any and all malicious thoughts—these are poison. Instead, be kind and compassionate. Graciously forgive one another just as God has forgiven you through the Anointed, our Liberating King. Ephesians 4:21-32 The Voice

In Christ Alone!

Jesus Christ is my one true friend. Darkness tried to slay Him, tried to forever trap Him in death, but He rose up from the grave, a death He died for me so that I could live His forever life. I reverence Him, respect Him, honor Him and bow before Him in AWE. He is my strength, hope and forever help and He has made a way for me, a way of truth and forever life. He is my King, my Way-Maker God. I may live in this world, but I belong to Him and His Kingdom and for that, I am forever grateful.

“In Christ alone is the best way to “grow through” this life in this world we don’t belong to, are not of and do not fit into. We need to cling to Jesus and dig our life roots deeply in Him. May God bless you, much, as you find your life in Christ alone and be found in Him, being exactly like Him.” KimberlyMac
