H.E.L.D. Weekly -1

Monday Musing

We need to take the time to get to really, truly know our God. Think on scripture, let it roll around in our minds. Let this scripture stir up our heart musing. What does this scripture specifically say about our need for guidance?

Jeremiah 9:23-24
Eternal One: Let not the wise boast in their wisdom, nor the mighty in their strength, nor the rich in their wealth. Whoever boasts must boast in this: that he understands and knows Me. Indeed, I am the Eternal One who acts faithfully and exercises justice and righteousness on earth. These are the things that delight Me. The Voice

My Musing: Sometimes we lean into our experience, thinking that we have the wisdom we need because we have learned it before. So we leave God out because we think we are in the know. This does not end well for us. God is always doing something new and to step into it, we need to seek Him for the wisdom. He is always our solution. We are never really in the know, only God is all knowing. We must learn to turn to God first and not lean into our understanding first.

Tuesday Teacher

We have a Teacher, He is the Holy Spirit of God. It would be the wisest choice of our day to fully face God, connect heart to Heart with Him and listen up! There is never a time Jesus does not have anything to say to us. He still speaks. He wants to be at the center of our lives so much so that He wants to be involved in the all of it, from every moment to every choice, He wants to be the wisdom and light that we decide with. How is this going for you? Let’s say we as the H.E.L.D. group make it a goal of ours to make the right choice the first time because from every moment to every choice we are led by God? Are you in? I am!

Jesus, You are our teacher, we praise You, we belong wholly-holy to You. We are Yours. Teach us, guide us, oh incredible Teacher. Blessing and honor and glory and power be unto You, Jesus our teacher. We are your students, we are reverently and respectfully submitted to You. We are wholly-holy listening and belonging to You.

This is what our teacher is like, this is what we need to learn from Him:

“Jesus has an interest in every single person. We have no right in Christian Service to be guided by our own interests and designs. Quote by~CharlesSpurgeon

This is one of our greatest tests in our relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord and the best teacher this life has given us.
John 15:13
I don’t lay down my life, I deliberately lay down my life for God and His interest in other people. And I do this for no cause and purpose of my own.

Wednesday Wait
“Who is God? Most high, most excellent, most potent, most omnipotent; most piteous and most just; most hidden and most near; most beauteous and most strong, stable, yet contained of none; unchangeable, yet changing all things; never new, never old; making all things new, yet bringing old age upon the proud and they know it not; always working, yet ever at rest; gathering, yet needing nothing; sustaining, pervading and protecting.” A. W. Tozer

Who Is The One You Wait On?

Sometimes the places that God purposefully positions us in as we wait, are not very comfortable and sometimes they are downright scary. Whatever waiting position God has us in today, the best choice is wholly-holy trust. We serve a God with high trustability and whatever place of fear, anxiety or worry you find yourself in today, know this, your Father God will transform it into a testimony of His mighty deliverance and salvation. He has done it before, He will do it again.

Thursday Thirsty
My soul is parched when I depend on myself to handle everything in this dry and weary land. Turning my worries into peace by praying through them, flipping them from fear to faith, from faith to prayer, from prayer to peace. AWE-GOD! KimberlyMac

John 5:10-15 Thirsty No More!

Jesus: 10 You don’t know the gift of God or who is asking you for a drink of this water from Jacob’s well. Because if you did, you would have asked Him for something greater; and He would have given you the living water.
Woman: 11 Sir, You sit by this deep well a thirsty man without a bucket in sight. Where does this living water come from? 12 Are You claiming superiority to our father Jacob who labored long and hard to dig and maintain this well so that he could share clean water with his sons, grandchildren, and cattle?

Jesus: 13 Drink this water, and your thirst is quenched only for a moment. You must return to this well again and again. 14 I offer water that will become a wellspring within you that gives life throughout eternity. You will never be thirsty again.

Woman: 15 Please, Sir, give me some of this water, so I’ll never be thirsty and never again have to make the trip to this well. The Voice

Friday Faith
How is your faith today? Do you need a faith increase? Do you feel like your enemy is advancing and you are backed up and can’t move anywhere to escape?
Exodus 14:21–22Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the LORD drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left.

“According to Jewish tradition, the sea did not part until the children of Israel began to walk into it. It was this great demonstration of faith that caused the sea to part. I think there was an even greater expression of faith than walking into the sea; it was walking through the sea “with a wall of water on their right and on their left.” Imagine walking through that great sea with walls of water on either side, walls that could come crashing down at any moment! To me, that took even greater courage and faith.” Author~Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein.

Lord Jesus, We Believe, Increase Our Faith

“While it’s admirable and commendable to take the proverbial leap of faith from time to time, it’s far more challenging to walk in faith, day in and day out. We may take a new job on faith, but living day to day believing that our needs will be met and that the paycheck will cover the expenses is another level of faith. Life is fragile and things can go wrong at any moment. Walking in faith means going down the risky path of life trusting that everything will be alright.” Author~Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein

Saturday Sin
Jeremiah 17:9 The choices and consequences are clear. Rely on people alone, and life will be tough and brutish. Rely on the one True God, and life will be rich and productive. The heart is most devious and incurably sick. Who can understand it? The Voice

Our hearts are so desperately wicked. We need to “flesh out” our sin and “truth in”! Listen Up And Think On This:
“Is there sin in your life so deep that you believe that the Lord cannot use you ever again? Confess it to the Lord right now. Ask Him by divine appointment to buy back the broken threads of your despair and to weave them into a magnificent calling that surpasses anything you could ever have imagined. Don’t say, “It’s impossible.” ask Him to redeem. Use whatever language you can. Let Him redeem.” Author~ David Chotka

“Now ask God to call you afresh. What calling would you ask God for in your highest imagination? Dream big! Ask the Lord to work in your life again and to use your shame as a platform for His grace to be put on display forever. Ask Jesus to pray for you that your faith fail not. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.” Author~David Chotka

“Abba Father, sometimes I feel so unworthy of Your holy calling on my life. Examine my heart and reveal anything that is unclean or keeping me from fulfilling the dreams I have to impact Your kingdom with my life. Give me strength to confess and turn from those things that displease You. Redeem me from all that holds me to evil things, to damaging habits, or to undesirable relationships. Cleanse me from all unrighteousness and renew me from the inside out. Call me to Your purposes once again! In Jesus’ Name I ask this!” Harvest Prayer Ministry –Adapted from Power Praying by David Chotka.
