Happy Mother’s Day

“What strikes me most is how natural and sincere your faith is. I am convinced that the same faith that dwelt in your grandmother, Lois, and your mother, Eunice, abides in you as well.” 2 Timothy 1:5 The Voice

“The sweetest sounds to mortals given are heard in Mother, Home, and Heaven.” Author~William Goldsmith Brown

This weekend is Mother’s Day weekend. I had an incredible mom, I miss her. She instilled in me a gratefulness for people and that I should always share it, bring great value to people lives in every way possible, encourage their giftedness, support them in love and speak value into their lives. She treated all her six children as individual gifts from God and encouraged our unique talents, mothering us and teaching us the value of love, caring and giving. I am so grateful for the mom God gave me and I hope when she was on this side of heaven that I told her enough, that I made her feel honored and loved for the sacrifices she made for me. I love you mom, I honor you, your contribution, sacrifice and constant love and care shaped me to be able to become all God had designed for me. I am grateful to God and to you.  Thank you God for giving me the mom you did, thank you mom for loving me and raising me to be the best that I could be. Thank you mom.

“If you have a mom, there is nowhere you are likely to go where a prayer has not already been.” Author~Robert Brault

It is inbred in a Mother’s Heart to sacrifice for her children, this is what she will do on this side of heaven and she will not rest until she is home with Jesus. During the years, this sacrifice takes on many forms and shapes, the seasons of life may change the look of it, but the sacrifice it remains.

“I remember my mother’s prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life.” Author~Abraham Lincoln

God created a mother’s heart with a special kind of love that never stops giving or caring. A mother may be separated from her children, but the bond still remains, spirit to spirit and heart to heart, her encouragement runs deep and reaches the heart of her child.

“Motherhood is priced of God, at price no man may dare To lessen or misunderstand.” Author~Helen Hunt Jackson

Mothers always should speak words that add value to their children, because they hold their hearts, they have been given a special gift from God to nurture and raise the next generation. Mothers will always be giving to their children and God will always be blessing that gift with a special anointing like no other person has in that child’s life. This special relationship between a Mother and her children was created by God for a purpose that is etched with an eternal edge. When a mom tells a child that she is proud of them, these words run deep, cut through much and reach the heart.

” mom’s hug lasts long after she lets go.” Author~Unknown

Moms are gifted by God with much and their responsibility to Him is great. He has honored them to raise, encourage and love one of His children, there is no greater God given challenge. With every great challenge we face as we parent our children, the sacrifice needed on our part is greater than the challenge and whatever we pay forward in sacrificial care, God rewards with blessing. The challenge of mothering a child is great, yes, but the God purpose and provision in doing it is even greater.

“A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.” Author~Washington Irving

Success is not found in how many earthly things we can give or help our children accomplish, these are temporary. Success is in giving them a forever, pointing them to the eternity that is placed in their heart by God and teaching them His way and truth. When we mother our children, we point them to the ONE Who appointed us to do so and we faithfully live, laugh, love and learn in His Presence. The success of our mothering is the degree of our faithfulness to God, Who gifted us with our child, someone He created purposefully so, to be placed under the care of our mothering according to His plan for both of our lives.

“Mother is a name held sacred

By most mortals of the earth;

It means great love and sacrifice

From the very day of birth,

A love that’s so full of beauty,

So tender, so very true!

Something, seemingly, from Heaven

That has come to me and you.

There’s no love so understanding

And so faithful to the end

As a Mother’s love—God bless her!—

That to us our Lord did send.”

Author~Gertrude Tooley Buckingham

Children are a gift from the Lord and mothers are likewise so. You have been gifted with your mom and purposefully, God will lead her to shape into you all the things that lead to the path God has planned for you. Mothers are used by God to prepare you for your future that He has specifically designed for you. They will sacrifice much, love much, teach much, do much for you, so you can grow into the person God see’s and has planned for you to be.

“The loveliest materpiece of the heart of God is the love of a Mother.” Author~St. Therese of Lisieux

Relationships were created to be give-give. Do you appreciate your mom? Have you told her that? Have you told her how proud you are to be her child? She has sacrificed much for you and is probably still  giving into your life. No matter what your age is, your mother will always be there, giving you her heart. Mothers need to hear from their children that they are loved, that they are appreciated, that you are proud to be their child, but even if they don’t’, they will still keep sacrificing and loving because this is the make up of a mom, this is who God has created them to be. Even in the pain of child birth, where the sacrifice for you began, after you were born, they did not even remember the pain, they remember the gift and they remember the responsibility of that gift, the Giver of that gift and they serve Him with their lives.

“You are to honor your father and mother. If you do, you and your children will live long and well in the land the Eternal your God has promised to give you.” Exodus 20:12 The Voice

Do you have a mother that has sacrificed for you? Tell her you love her, tell her how proud you are to be her child. Ask God to cause you to remember all she has sacrificed for you and remember to let her know just how grateful you are to God for giving you to her, to be your mom. Life is short and while your mom is here on this side of heaven, it pleases God’s heart when you honor her.

Motherhood is more than a stage—it’s a lifelong calling from God.

With it He gives us hearts that love deeply, hands that serve tirelessly, and vision to see His blossoming image in the precious ones entrusted to our care.” Author Unknown

Happy Mothers Day To All Moms! May God Grant You The Honor That Is Due You, May Your Day Be Blessed With His Joy And The Appreciation And Gratitude Of Your Children.

Eve (excited): Look, I have created a new human, a male child, with the help of the Eternal.

Commentary: One of the first things Adam and Eve do after being banished from the garden of Eden is to make a baby. Despite the pain of childbirth, Eve speaks with joy of the birth of her son. She certainly suffers and could have easily died in childbirth, but the desire to reproduce and the joy of joining with God in the creative process brings great reward. Every parent knows the risks and rewards of bringing forth the next generation. The Voice
