Families Undivided In Heart~Worshipping God Alone
We live in a tough world and there is a lot that can slowly fade us away from God. All we can do is hope huge in God, that He unites the hearts of our family in undivided worship of Him. Oh, we need a genuine personal relationship with our God in times such as these. Religiosity and religion are not enough, we need personal relationship. Our families are divided and fragmented by the way our culture rolls. We are busy families and we have compartmentalized God right out of our lives. We need to be families with undivided hearts that are serving God alone with every thought, motive, attitude, word and deed, done for an audience of One, God Alone.
For You are great and work wonders! You alone are God. Psalm 86:10
Put God As First Place In Our Homes
God wants to be first place in our homes. He wants to be the only One Who sets the atmosphere of peace in the hearts of our family members. Our family pursuits should begin and end with Jesus. He should be our one desire, His mission our first cause. He cares for us 100 percent in every way imaginable, He is reaching for us in love and providing for our care every single day. We must be in a give-give relationship with Him. Too many times our family life is lopsided, we look to God to give us so much, but we return very little of our lives back to Him. This needs to change in our generation. Be the change, let it begin with your family and my family today.
But if you are unwilling to obey the Lord, then decide today whom you will obey. Will it be the gods of your ancestors beyond the Euphrates or the gods of the Amorites here in this land? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15 Living Bible

Family Life Positioned In Sweet Surrender
The heart of our family has to find that position of sweet surrender to God and God Alone. Family life is so much better, so amazingly functional, in times such as these, when we have Jesus at the center of our lives. There is a sweetness of complete surrender that God wants our family to know. It begins with deculturalizing our family lives. We need to put God at the first position of love, communication and service in our family lives. Our culture has a way of stealing the life of God right out of our homes and we need to guard the heart of our family from this intentional and divisive plan of our enemy. Let’s put God first and love Him, serve His Kingdom, and know the power of God in our family lives, God and God Alone.

Set Your Family Atmosphere With God’s Word
God is present in every season of our family lives, in the good and in the bad, He is right there with us. God wants to be a part of the whole of our family, and no matter what we are “growing through” as a family, may we accept Him into our family life, do life together with Him and lean into His Sovereign sway. We need to set the atmosphere in our homes to one of putting God first, so we are as a family, in pursuit more of what simply-significantly matters eternally so. The things of this world will not last, the Word of God lasts forever. Our family needs to be in the Word together, because this will make us stronger and guard the heart of our family against the deception of our culture, keeping God alone positioned at the heart of our family life.
My soul quietly waits for the True God alone because I hope only in Him. He alone is my rock and deliverance, my citadel high on a hill; I will not be shaken. Psalm 62:5-6 The Voice
Purposefully, Our Family Is Put Together
We are God’s family, we were purposefully put together by Him for reasons that have nothing to do with this world and everything to do with His Kingdom. We as a family should be in this world, but not of it. We should be kingdom minded, realizing that we were not made for here, this is a temporary assignment. Our family should live, laugh and love, leaning into the eternal edge of our God in the all of our family life. All of our hopes, dreams and expectations of our family life should daily be put in the hands of the Only One, Who can bring them forth in the fullness of God’s glory for our best and the good of His Kingdom. Our living legacy should be a family who lived for God and God alone, who added value, eternal worth, to the lives of everyone who came in touch with us.
But I tell you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, to show that you are the children of your Father Who is in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the wicked and on the good, and makes the rain fall upon the upright and the wrongdoers alike. Matthew 5:44 Amplified Bible
Family Prayer:
Jesus draw us, our family, to a personal relationship with You, a vital-vertical daily connection with You and Your Word. May you be the only position our hearts find true peace in. Help us to trust You in the all of our everything. May our family know the sweetness of wholly-holy surrender to You. Let us be a family who offers you worship at all times, having a heart of praise and gratitude in the good times and a sacrifice of praise in the not so good times, and always recognizing that You are Lord of both and in control at all times of our family. We pray to be a family who is all about Your Kingdom work, loving all and speaking the truth to all with a passion that they might know You and live forever with you. We are so grateful Lord Jesus, that You’ve got our family, yes so very thankful that You’ve got us in the palm of Your Mighty right hand! AWE-GOD, we praise You.
