MORNING MANNA: Philippians 2:11-13
And every tongue [[a]frankly and openly] confess and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 12Therefore, my dear ones, as you have always obeyed [my suggestions], so now, not only [with the enthusiasm you would show] in my presence but much more because I am absent, work out (cultivate, carry out to the goal, and fully complete) your own salvation with reverence and awe and trembling (self-distrust, [b]with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ). 13[Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while [c]effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and [d]delight.

Because HE IS! I am gaining a protein of kingdom purpose from this meal. It is strengthening me with a well seasoned God-wisdom! AWE-GOD! We are all so distracted by trying to make the most of the lives we are living. Enough is not enough, so we continually strive for more. Best is never the best, something is always better; so we are continuously moving towards being the best, having the best and pursing the experience of getting all we can get. It is the human condition! Nothing satisfies us and is never enough - we always want and are in search of something more. Not satisfied, we have to strive to have the best and we press ourselves to the limit, adding all kinds of unnecessary stress to our lives, in order to pursue that which is always out of the reach of where God has positioned us, by His purpose and unique Kingdom plan.
Put An End To The Never Ending Cultural Chase! Let God Be Enough! Let Him Stretch Out Your Tent Pegs With His Kingdom Purpose! Be Satisfied To Stand Within The Parameters Of God’s Ordained Will And Purpose Destined For You! Let God Be Enough! Cling To His Infinite Love And Let Be, Be Still And Know Him! AWE-GOD! |
WE NEED GOD! HE IS SIMPLY ENOUGH!

We never have enough “stuff” we keep wanting more, craving the best of what this world offers. We strive for a higher position, a better title the moment we receive our promotion, we don’t even stop to celebrate what we just got! We may only be able to afford the 100 dollar item, but we pursue the popular 500 dollar name brand one, because our culture dictates to us that we “need” that one, we should have that one, so we have to have it at all costs. We do what it takes to push ourselves beyond our natural strength and God-given ability, to the point of stepping out of the position-purpose-provision-peace of God and becoming our provider of what we think we “absolutely “need! Oh, God’s Ways Are Truly Not Our Ways! We Absolutely Need God's Wisdom!
We have received life, yet this life and the head are inseparable. Upon our accepting Him, we still must live in Him. Though we have received Him, we are yet to depend on Him. Accordingly, we cannot be independent in anything. The Lord alone is head, and He is the sole resource of our life. Quote By: Watchman Nee |
PSALM 46! LET BE! LET GOD BE ENOUGH!
GOD IS our Refuge and Strength [mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very present and well-proved help in trouble. 2Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains be shaken into the midst of the seas,
3Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling and tumult. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! 4There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High. 5God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God will help her right early [at the dawn of the morning]. 6The nations raged, the kingdoms tottered and were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. 7The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our Refuge (our Fortress and High Tower). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! 8Come, behold the works of the Lord, Who has wrought desolations and wonders in the earth. 9He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow into pieces and snaps the spear in two; He burns the chariots in the fire. 10Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth! 11The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our Refuge (our High Tower and Stronghold). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! Amplified Bible (AMP) Copyright © 1954, 1958, 1962, 1964, 1965, 1987 by The Lockman Foundation |
STOP THE CULTURAL CHASE! GOD IS ENOUGH!
In our pursuit of enough, little by little we push past God’s will for us, we use up all our time and energy in the quest of having our enough, because of course we should have what our civilization dictates is “the best” and we should not be satisfied with less! Get all you can get and be all you can be is the underpinning of the human condition! In the cultural chase of our enough, we lose sight of the AWE of our God and we become dissatisfied with His will - tossing the dice of life looking for a better role, because the position at our table of life becomes not “enough” for us! Our cultural chases become the enlarged focus and the Awe of God becomes diminished in vision, leaving us in a hopless pursuit of satisfaction and contentment set by the pace of this world and not by the purposes of God's Kingdom.
The church...for too long has followed Casper, the friendly ghost instead of seeking the fire of the Holy Spirit. We have turned limp at the thought of our own cross; we faint when we think of suffering or sacrifice. Beloved, it is time to embrace the fire of God's Presence. It is the fire that purifies our sacrifice. Quote By: Francis Frangipane |
GOD'S GRACE IS ENOUGH! SIT IN IT!
If I had a mind to brag a little, I could probably do it without looking ridiculous, and I'd still be speaking plain truth all the way. But I'll spare you. I don't want anyone imagining me as anything other than the fool you'd encounter if you saw me on the street or heard me talk.
Because of the extravagance of those revelations, and so I wouldn't get a big head, I was given the gift of a handicap to keep me in constant touch with my limitations. Satan's angel did his best to get me down; what he in fact did was push me to my knees. No danger then of walking around high and mighty! At first I didn't think of it as a gift, and begged God to remove it. Three times I did that, and then he told me, My grace is enough; it's all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness. Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ's strength moving in on my weakness. Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size—abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become. 2 Corinthians 12:6-8 The Message (MSG) Copyright © 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 2000, 2001, 2002 by Eugene H. Peterson As the strongest faith may be shaken, so the weakest, where truth is, is so far rooted that it will prevail. Weakness with watchfulness will stand, when strength with too much confidence fails. Weakness, with acknowledgment of it, is the fittest seat and subject for God to perfect His strength in; for consciousness of our infirmities drives us out of ourselves to Him in whom our strength lies. DECIDE TO LET GOD BE ENOUGH!
Think about it? Am I a culture chaser or am I in pursuit of God’s Kingdom purpose? Is God simply enough for me or am I dissatisfied with my purpose-position in life. AM I advancing the Kingdom of God? Or am I chasing my enough?
Think About It! Let God Be Enough! Let Be Of Your Plan, Stop Your Cultural Chase And Be Still As You Sit In The Potter’s Chair! Let God Be Enough And Be Responsive To God’s Purposeful Touch As He Shapes Your Life! Know your Sovereign God, the Masterful Potter, Who has ordained a design for your life that is more than you could hope for, think of or imagine. People who are crucified with Christ have three distinct marks: 1. they are facing only one direction, 2. they can never turn back, and 3. they no longer have plans of their own. Quote By: A. W.
