I Give Myself Away

Give Yourself Away To Jesus

Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to be My disciple, let him deny himself, disregard, lose sight of, and forget himself and his own interests and take up his cross and follow Me cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying, also. For whoever is bent on saving his temporal life, his comfort and security here, shall lose it, eternal life; and whoever loses his life, his comfort and security here]for My sake shall find it, life everlasting. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life, his blessed life in the kingdom of God? Or what would a man give as an exchange for his blessed life in the kingdom of God? For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory, majesty, splendor of His Father with His angels, and then He will render account and reward every man in accordance with what he has done. Matthew 16:24-27 Amplified Bible

A Sacrificial Completely

Give Ourselves Away! Yes! Bride of Christ, we need to embrace this. We need to find our way to being wholly-holy God’s, giving ourselves to Him, completely. Never is there a time more for this than now. We need to shed off so many things of this world that take up our time, that are meaningless, in the way that they don’t have an eternal edged, they don’t make a difference that can be carried from here to there unto forever. Jesus’ life was lived sacrificially, He put the sacrifice in our salvation by giving His life away for us. We say we are Christians, we say we are His, but do we imitate His sacrificial life in our life-style.

So imitate God. Follow Him like adored children, 2 and live in love as the Anointed One loved you—so much that He gave Himself as a fragrant sacrifice, pleasing God. Ephesians 5:1-2 The Voice

Selah! What Are You Doing?

What are you doing in your life, in your daily living, that does not have an eternal impact? Think about your life, look at it and inspect it for kingdom fruit. We are living in very exciting times, a season of life where we can be a part of the greatest harvest for the Kingdom of God that is ever known. We must grasp this precept of giving ourselves away, we need to change, we need to strip off the things of this world and begin putting on the garments of the Bride who is ready for her bridegroom to come for her.

Jesus: There’s a great harvest waiting in the fields, but there aren’t many good workers to harvest it. Pray that the Harvest Master will send out good workers to the fields. Luke 10:2 The Voice

More Kingdom – Less World

We are the Church, we are the Bride of Christ and in times such as these, we need to begin to uproot our life from this world and transplant it into the Kingdom of God, where we do belong. More of the Kingdom, less of this world. Look at your life? What is it that you spend the most time on? Does it have an eternal footprint, will it leave a living legacy, a kingdom outcome. Jesus gave His life for us, we need to do the same, give our lives away for Him, for the benefit of His Kingdom.

We know what true love looks like because of Jesus. He gave His life for us, and He calls us to give our lives for our brothers and sisters. 1 John 3:16 The Voice

Choose Divine Appointment

We are so caught up in the excitement of new things of this world, more than the kingdom that is to come. We are a generation that is entertained and we are so addicted to this draw to be entertained. We all have our favorite television series and the world stops so we don’t miss it. But are we missing a divine appointment to make a finite appointment with something that is not real, something that has a temporary flame. Entertainment of this world is so temporary in its nature, where the Kingdom of God and all things related to God and His life are so very permanent. Which are we choosing most? It is time to strip ourselves of the things of this world and be clothed as the Bride of Christ. We should look like Jesus, be like Jesus, act like Jesus.

Let this same attitude and purpose and humble mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: Let Him be your example in humility: Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God [possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God, did not think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped or retained, But stripped Himself of all privileges and rightful dignity, so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being. And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself still further and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross! Philippians 2:5-8 Amplified Bible

Sacrifice In Salvation

What are we giving ourselves away for? What is using up all our energies? It is time for the Bride of Christ to put sacrifice back in our salvation and to give ourselves away completely to Jesus. Here we are Lord, use us. What would happen if each person in the Bride of Christ shed all the things of this world and took that time and went out into the Harvest Field. We need to stir up the desire within us to be used by God for what simply-significantly matters for eternity.

Brothers and sisters, in light of all I have shared with you about God’s mercies, I urge you to offer your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice to God, a sacred offering that brings Him pleasure; this is your reasonable, essential worship. Romans 12:1 The Voice

Wholly-Holy His

When we look at our life, are we a living sacrifice for Jesus Christ. Have we placed our whole life in His Hands? Is your life your own? Give yourself wholly-holy to Jesus, let Him use you for whatever, however, whenever He needs for His Kingdom. Belong to Jesus!

The eleven disciples, having spoken to the Marys, headed to Galilee, to the mountain where they were to meet Jesus. When the disciples saw Jesus there, many of them fell down and worshiped, as Mary and the other Mary had done. But a few hung back. They were not sure (and who can blame them?). Jesus came forward and addressed His beloved disciples. The disciples don’t know what to think or how to act. Nothing like this has ever happened before. Jesus: I am here speaking with all the authority of God, who has commanded Me to give you this commission: Go out and make disciples in all the nations. Ceremonially wash them through baptism in the name of the triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then disciple them. Form them in the practices and postures that I have taught you, and show them how to follow the commands I have laid down for you. And I will be with you, day after day, to the end of the age. Matthew 28:16-19 The Voice

Live It Out

Forgive me for using casual language to compensate for your natural weakness of human understanding. I want to be perfectly clear. In the same way you gave your bodily members away as slaves to corrupt and lawless living and found yourselves deeper in your unruly lives, now devote your members as slaves to right and reconciled lives so you will find yourselves deeper in holy living. Romans 6:19 The Voice

Think About It

“If we belong to Jesus Christ, we should never compromise our spiritual decisions on the basis of “What is this going to cost me?” We ought only to ask, “What is my spiritual duty and my spiritual privilege before God” “Please, Lord, give me this kind of commitment. I fear it’s far too easy and all too common for me to be guilty of asking, ‘What is this going to cost me?’ Strengthen me to only ask, ‘What is my spiritual duty and my spiritual privilege before God?’ Amen.”  Author ~ A.W.Tozer
