A Constant Conversation With God

I enjoy a constant conversation with God every day. There are no compartments of my life that He is not in, that He is not speaking, leading, teaching and loving me. This is my personal journal where I keep some of the conversations that I have with God all day long! It is kind of sloppy, but I guess that is okay for this post because it is very personal, genuine and a place where I put some truly heart changing things for me. Everything usually ends up in my personal journal, it is sloppy and fun and I love the heavenly hindsight it provides. I am going to share with you today, a few conversation pieces I had with God during a week. I know you will enjoy it and be blessed by it, so enjoy and I pray the Holy Spirit speaks to you through one of my constant conversations with Him.

Psalm 85:11

Truth will spring from the earth like a plant, and justice will look down from the sky.

I should not want justice to go in the way my viewpoint sees as being favorable for me. I should desire for justice to be done that will brilliantly shine glory on God’s Kingdom, pointing the way from this world to Jesus’ way, truth and life. #DigDeeper http://www.thebridegroomscafe.com/true-justice/

#FridayForgiveness If we want to explore what it would look like to truly be healthy spiritually, then these verses can’t be ignored. If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, Your Father will NOT forgive your sins. The bible gets down to the core of Who we are, speaks to our identity of who we are and we can’t ignore it. We must hear it this, we must live this and we must be this:

“Forgiveness is essentially this. It is not saying it was okay, it is not forgetting, it is more saying I release this person to God and I no longer have to carry the offense that they made against me. I will no longer hold inside my identity the toxic poison that connection to their offense created in me. I will forgive, I release them to God and I am letting go and letting Him sort it all out in His way.” Brian Hardin Daily Audio Bible Commentary

Matthew 6: 14 “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. 15 But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins. New Living Testament

“This feels like in our face and very difficult, but actually He is being very, very kind because He is putting it in black and white and it is very kind, because if we will forgive, we will be forgiven. If we are forgiven we are healthy and free. Do you want to be free? Do you want to be made whole? It begins with letting go, forgiving and releasing. When we think of forgiveness, we realize that our identity is based on the things that have wounded us. We need to give these offenses to Jesus, release them to Him. Trust God with each person, each situation and He will replace the poison of the offense with wholeness and health. We know this is true, but it is hard when our identities are wrapped up in offenses and wounds. Holy Spirit invade these places in us, flood into them with the light of truth. Speak to us Jesus, the true identity of Who we are. Call what is true of us out and expose what is false so we can see clearly the things we need to let go of and forgive that we might be forgiven. Come, help us we ask in Jesus Name.” Brian Hardin Daily Audio Bible Commentary #Forgive #Release

#ThursdayThought

Sometimes our thoughts feel so futile, just like the fight for justice at times seems so unwinnable according to our way. Problem is, our way is not God’s way. We clash when it comes to our personal viewpoint and His Kingdom perspective. We clash like iron sharpening iron because we ignore the second purpose of His Providence. God’s Providence has a two-fold purpose. He brings good into our lives AND He brings glory to His Kingdom. Both of these purposes are in play to bring about the Providential care of God. This is why things never look the way we planned them. If I am not ignoring the second purpose which is God bringing glory to His Kingdom, then I might feel this way: I should not want justice to go in the way my viewpoint sees as being favorable for me. I should desire for justice to be done that will brilliantly shine glory on God’s Kingdom, pointing the way from this world to Jesus’ way, truth and life. Kimberly Mac

Fight seem futile? Realign your service unto God. He is our true justice, our Way-Maker God. There are so many injustices in this world that begin and end with the ugly side of our human condition. We are a people prone to selfishness and looking out for our own personal interests first and when this escalates as the influence of evil connects to it, it seems like things will not end well and that justice is subverted. But this is not so because our God is a God of justice. This incredible Way-Maker God, our Father God, the One Who sacrificed His own Son, Jesus to make a way for true justice, this is Whom we trust in for our justice to prevail.

Quotes To Glean God’s Wisdom And Love

“When you resort to shouting in conflict, you are reacting in the flesh. You have lost control of the only person you can control: yourself.” Author~Neil T Anderson

“Each of us may be sure that if God sends us on stony paths He will provide us with strong shoes, and He will not send us out on any journey for which He does not equip us well.” Quote By: Alexander MacLaren

“How comforting it is to know the Bigness of God in the times of our deepest pain. What a blessed salve it is to our broken and wounded hearts to know that the Creator of the universe, he who holds all the stars in his hand, carries us in his heart. He knows us by name, he is intimately acquainted with every thought, he hears every heart cry and understands every motive of our heart and he loves us still.” Quote By Katherine

Sometimes the fight seems futile and we have to realign our service unto God, because He is the only true service and the freedom we fight for can only be sustained by HIM. I know as military families we struggle with our viewpoints because of the commitment we have made to serve our country. We do fight for justice, we do sacrifice for protecting the liberty of justice, but true justice truly comes only from God. We must cling to HIM, we must dig our life roots deeply in Him, for our shape and calling they are a huge part of the freedom we protect.

The Bridegroom’s Voice~Groomsmans Journal

“This world, there is nothing in it that I should want more than Jesus. He should be first and foremost in my thoughts, ways and life. If I conform to this world in anything, I will not have inner peace. Peace comes from Christ alone, He is my Prince of peace. His way is life and health to my soul. Pride blocks me from peace it lifts up self, it trumps the peace of God. The only person I should think highly of is Jesus, the only One I should wholly-holy serve with my life is Him. The only expectations I should have are those that are in Jesus and His Promises. I should have no desire to be a self-made person. Without Jesus, I do not have a miraculous life edge, I can holy be a temporary hero whose doings will fizzle out. Jesus is the only Super Hero.” KimberlyMac #GroomsmanJournal #Week3Peace #TheBridegroomsVoice

Daily Audio Bible With Brian Hardin

“Abraham was renamed. Sari, can’t have kids so she comes up with her own plan. Abraham goes with her plan. Different time and different culture. Abraham is trying to “make” the promise of God happen. God then tells him, no that won’t work. God stays to His plan. God bestows a new name on Sari and Abram. This is effectively re-identifying them with a new identity. Both of them do not believe God because their situation is impossible and they can’t see past their human viewpoint. God asks Sarah why she is laughing and she denies laughing and God speaks the light on the truth, yes you did laugh. What identities and promises have we been given that we can’t believe can be possible? The reverberations of them going their own way are still felt today.” Commentary By Brian Hardin

“Jesus is re-framing what our existence is shaped like. Everything you think you know you have it backwards. This is no less true today when it was when Jesus spoke it. The hypocrisy of trying to draw attention to your holiness. Nothing comes from that. The human attention will be your only reward. If you really want to be effective then get alone with God and stop posting out an aurora or image of yourself that really is not true. Get alone with God. Get alone with God in a personal conversational relationship in private. Brian Hardin Commentary DAB

“This is between You and God. If you are going to talk to God, then don’t talk to other people and pretend you are talking to God. If you want to talk to God, then talk to God. Do it with God when you fast, you don’t need an audience. Jesus is rewiring our posture of heart, the truth of who we are and why we do what we do. Out of the core of our identity, the truth makes its way forth no matter how much we are pretending and posing.” Brian Hardin Commentary DAB

Genesis 17 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am El-Shaddai—’God Almighty.’ Serve me faithfully and live a blameless life. 2 I will make a covenant with you, by which I will guarantee to give you countless descendants.” Genesis 17:3 At this, Abram fell face down on the ground. Then God said to him, 4 “This is my covenant with you: I will make you the father of a multitude of nations! 5 What’s more, I am changing your name. It will no longer be Abram. Instead, you will be called Abraham, for you will be the father of many nations. 6 I will make you extremely fruitful. Your descendants will become many nations, and kings will be among them! 7 “I will confirm my covenant with you and your descendants after you, from generation to generation. Genesis 17: 7 This is the everlasting covenant: I will always be your God and the God of your descendants after you. 8 And I will give the entire land of Canaan, where you now live as a foreigner, to you and your descendants. It will be their possession forever, and I will be their God.”

Chapter 18 Sarah was listening to this conversation from the tent. 11 Abraham and Sarah were both very old by this time, and Sarah was long past the age of having children. 12 So she laughed silently to herself and said, “How could a worn-out woman like me enjoy such pleasure, especially when my master—my husband—is also so old?” Then the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh? Why did she say, ‘Can an old woman like me have a baby?’ 14 Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return about this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.” 15 Sarah was afraid, so she denied it, saying, “I didn’t laugh.” But the Lord said, “No, you did laugh.”

My Thoughts: Age does seem to do that for us. The older we get the less viable we feel, the more we feel things are possible for us. I feel that way now. God has tasked me with an impossible feat, to sell a book in a culture where everything is online and where I am a new author. It is an impossible task, one that I give up on almost every other day. I know He ordained this book, I know He wrote it, I know He anointed it for this time, but I still struggle with doubt. Our flesh is desperately wicked and needs to be fleshed out. Why did Sarah laugh? Because what God told her would happen to her was so preposterously funny when she looked at her situation through her worldly viewpoint. God was sharing with her a kingdom perspective that was not bound by the laws of the nature of this world.

#LifeWisdom Matthew 6:19
“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. 21 Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.

I come to you for protection, O Lord my God. Save me from my persecutors—rescue me! The wicked conceive evil; they are pregnant with trouble and give birth to lies. They dig a deep pit to trap others, then fall into it themselves. The trouble they make for others backfires on them. The violence they plan falls on their own heads. I will thank the Lord because HE IS just; I will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High. Psalm 7:1;14-17

Increased Alignment To God’s Truth

Submissive wonder, let it be so in me. My inner life wholly-holy belonging to Jesus, my outer life meekly in Awe of God and saturated in His peace. We are so deceived by our enemy to think we need much to be satisfied in this world and our human wants are insatiably and peacelessly stirred up by him, when all we truly need is simply-significantly the unfailing love of Jesus Christ. Jesus is our way to everything that has real lasting life, which is seeded in everlasting truth. My life lived out in this world has to be all about Jesus, I must flesh out all things me, because in this vital-vertical alignment with God, there is great and powerful peace. Living life on the pathway of right living is having a fruitful life of righteousness. Walking by God’s truth, wholly-holy this fallen world, yields an unshakable peace that surpasses all, linking my life into the miraculous edge of Jesus Christ. KimberlyMac.
