Be Still

Be still, My mind;

Be still, My soul;

And know My Spirit,

That God is in control!

Oh eyes, don’t focus on outward conditions;

Oh mind, don’t wonder about “Why Me”?

Oh body, just get yourself before the Lord,

Oh will, face down on bended knee.

Jesus, my soul bows before You,

And my spirit is wet with Your morning dew;

As I feed on my manna provided by You!

My mind humbly submits to Your powerful will.

As I sit silently in the dawn quiet and still;

I look to The Light, and my silhouette is filled!

My heart responds to the touch of Your hand;

My soul celebrates in the joy of Your love;

My mind is set on Your Kingdom above.

Yet as I sit submissively in the potters chair;

My enemy conspires and plans from his lair.

The battle for My mind begins to rage,

Yet I know the King of Kings is living within;

And the conflict is His, one He is able to win!

My enemy strikes out with his odious strife;

Yet worry is thrust out, no more in my life!

This Jesus, who was able to eradicate all sin;

Has proven again, He will always win!

Quiet and peaceful in the Presence of My King;

My soul is steady as I soar on His Wing.

My heart flies higher than all earthly strife;

And My Spirit is set free in His eternal life.

So here I sit… calm, silent and still,

Forever fulfilled!

Selah!

Thank you for stopping in The Author Table today in The Bridegroom’s Cafe. In this season of life, we need to learn to be still before God, fleshing out cultural say-so and taking in God truth in our souls. Our first step out each morning should be face-down, bowed before God, still before Him in awed reverence, respect and trust. I don’t write many poems, but when the Holy Spirit gives me one, it is usually quite a blessing for me, so I hope you also are encouraged by it. Share it today with someone who needs to be still and know God is in control. Please also check out my book, “The Bridegroom’s Voice” it definitely is a great tool to help you prepare to endure and bring God great honor during these adventurously challenging days we live in.

God bless you Much, KimberlyMac
