Psalm 62: 5-8
Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. 6 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. 7 My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me. 8 O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge.

*Jesus Christ Made No Room For Disappointment In His Life*

Jesus Christ did not have room for disappointment. When disappointment came He had no file to store it in because His heart was full of us and the purpose He had for saving us.

Jesus transformed His disappointment into joy by focusing on the hope that did not disappoint. Jesus found the hope He needed in prayer as He spent time alone with His Father.

When disappointments come and they will come, we must allow Him to use them as iron sharpens iron. The best thing we can do is silently submit to Jesus and willessly put all of our disappointments in His hands. God has proven His love for us and through faith we must grasp-cling to Him and hold on to His peace.

Friendship is based on a foundation of respectful love. God’s heart desire is for us to love unconditionally, because whether it is in joy or in disappointment, our relationship can grow through both.

Matthew 7:2-5 That critical spirit has a way of boomeranging. 3 It's easy to see a smudge on your neighbor's face and be oblivious to the ugly sneer on your own. 4 Do you have the nerve to say, "Let me wash your face for you,' when your own face is distorted by contempt? 5 It's this whole traveling road-show mentality all over again, playing a holier-than-thou part instead of just living your part. Wipe that ugly sneer off your own face, and you might be fit to offer a washcloth to your neighbor.

***Disappointment Is A Hard Burden To Bear Without God***

Disappointment in someone is hard to bear, especially from someone close. When I think about Jesus and all He went through, I know He experienced many times feeling disappointed and betrayed by the people closest to Him. I think the coolest thing about our Lord is, he totally understands!

Jesus has felt what we feel. I call it the human condition-the human condition that we live in! We mess up, especially when we try so hard to please others and then we realize we and they can’t be perfect.

When you put people together in relationships, we constantly don’t live up to the expectations of other people and discouragement is in our midst. We have the human tendency to put ourselves first and we can discourage people every day of our lives when we are on the throne of our lives - awww the human condition!

Disappointment evokes in us strong emotions. We have to deal with the feelings - those strong feelings of disappointment, disillusionment and discouragement. There are times you want to feel justified for your disappointment and you want things to be fair, even and balanced. Do you take things into your own hands to make them right?

What I have learned is forgiveness and letting go of disappointment, betrayal, hurt is not between you and the person, it is not about “fixing” or “balancing” a situation. Forgiveness is not a feeling, it is an act, you do it because of your relationship with God and your desire to obey Him.

Dealing with disappointments in situations and people is solely between you and God. We need to open ourselves to God and see things from God’s perspective. It helps so much if we are willing to let go of our perspective and what we want and let God work everything out for us. God is our Perfect Advocate, His purposes are always at play in our lives

Have you been hurt? Take the injustice, the disappointment, the unfairness and put it all in God’s hands and urrender to Him. Let God work out His Perfect Justice in His way - His time. Wait on God. Let Be - Be Still! As you wait, always choose to do the right thing because of your righteous Lord God and out of your relationship with Him.

When you hand your disappointments over to God, willessness happens and you are able to obey God and trust God completely with the outcome. Choose to forgive. Choose to trust God. Say: I can’t change this, only You can Lord God.

God knows that we are not able to handle dashed expectations and disappointments in our own strength. The more we try to handle our relational strife, the more we try to make things fair, the more we try to make things just, the more we try to change people, the more frustrated we will get.

God knows that frustration from disappointment that keeps building up, will automatically turn into a root of bitterness. When this happens, we have exchanged the discouragement that came from the person or situation for a root of bitterness within us and this becomes a problem that puts our heart in crisis mode.

Why? Because out of our heart flows the issues of our lives! So we can see how the enemy takes one small discouragement and turns it into a hold of bitterness. Therefore, do whatever it takes to keep your heart guarded and encouraged by our AWE-GOD! Proverbs 4:23 (MSG) Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that's where life starts.

We can’t change people or situations without God! Don’t cling to something you can’t do- because if you do, you are clinging to hopelessness, to disappointment and you are setting yourself up for bitterness! Cling to God! Put all your hopes and expectations in Him. He can do it-you can’t.

Hebrews 13:5-6
Let your [a]character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] [b]Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor [c]give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [d][I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor [e]let [you] down ([f]relax My hold on you)! [[g]Assuredly not!](A) 6 So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me?(B)

***Our Great God Will Never Leave Us - Never Forsake Us***

Great, Great God! You are with us. Holy Spirit remind us of this awesome truth when we become tired and discouraged, when we are persevering in situations and circumstances that just don’t seem to change. Jesus, help us to find our way, strength and courage in You. Help us not to stop and visit our dismay, but help us to run the race You have given us with faithfulness, persistence and perseverance.

Father God it is Your Truth, You have freely given us that strengthens us with courage and hope! It is our Bible - Your very Words where we find the discernment to deal wisely and the confidence to make our way, to press on through the grey clouds until we find the bright sunshine.

Give us eyes to see You Jesus, to know You have not left us here alone! Lord, You are with us and You will make our way prosperous and filled with the success that faithfulness to You brings.

Jesus help us to press through our discouragements! I hope we PRESS knowing there is nothing that can separate us from our AWE-GOD because of Jesus Christ! Our God Is Great! AWE-GOD!
