Live It Out!

Get Tight With God= No Discouragement Allowed

YOUR FRIENDSHIP WITH GOD IS THE KEY.... key to your relationship with those who discourage you. God, He works in you and He takes you off the throne of your life and positions you on His sure foundation of Holy Ground. Therefore, your soul-emotions are not like a yo-yo, up and down with the tide of discouragement. The Holy Spirit teaches you how to love unconditionally, and whether it is in joy or whether it is in disappointment, your friendship grows because it is no longer nurtured by your emotions, but by the very character of God’s unfailing love. Infinitely So!

Put Your Hopes-Expectations In God Alone!

PUT ALL YOUR HOPES AND EXPECTATIONS IN PEOPLE – IN GOD’S HANDS! It is so easy to love people, when you are pressing into Christ, loving Jesus wholeheartedly and walking in His unconditional love. When it comes to the expectations that we put in other people and things, this can be a huge stumbling block that throws us right into a pit of disappointment!

I pray this for us today: Jesus when we find our race being cluttered, strewn with the rocks of stumbling discouragement and expectations dashed with disappointment, we must learn to use more of Your energy and strength to get through; help us not to hold on to our expectations, to hand them over to You and learn to be self-reliant when the way becomes heated in disappointment.

Holy Spirit teach us how not to give in to our emotions and follow them down dead end bunny trails. Jesus keep our hearts that we might not become grouchy with one another, devouring one another with sarcastic criticism; consuming each other’s strength that we all might fall. Help us to keep our center of attention on You, Almighty God and live our lives out of Your perspectives! You are the Author of this new and great adventure of Followship, that we as servant-warriors have been called to! Bless us much in it, Lord God! AMEN!

Staying In God's Word = Hope-Strength

GOD'S WORD IS THE POWER – PROMISE – PRECEPTS you need to fight the good fight of keeping your hope in the face of discouragement and staying in Godly character. Here are a few great precepts to soak your soul in:

1 John 5:19-21
We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the control of the evil one. 20 And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life. 21 Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts. New Living Translation

Psalm 62:5-8
My soul, wait only upon God and silently submit to Him; for my hope and expectation are from Him. 6 He only is my Rock and my Salvation; He is my Defense and my Fortress, I shall not be moved.7 With God rests my salvation and my glory; He is my Rock of unyielding strength and impenetrable hardness, and my refuge is in God! 8 Trust in, lean on, rely on, and have confidence in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is a refuge for us (a fortress and a high tower). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!

Galatians 5:13-17
For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. 14 For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 But if you are always biting and devouring one another, watch out! Beware of destroying one another. 16 So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. 17 The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.

Disappointment=Unrest!God-Dependency=Peace

NO SOUL CAN REALLY BE AT REST UNTIL.... it has given up all dependence on everything else and has been forced to depend on the Lord alone. As long as our expectation is from other things, nothing but disappointment awaits us.

Feelings may change, and will change with our changing circumstances; doctrines and dogmas may be upset; Christian work may come to naught; prayers may seem to lose their fervency; promises may seem to fail.

Everything that we have believed in or depended upon may seem to be swept away, and only God is left, just God, the bare God, if I may be allowed the expression; simply and only God.
